I think of it as “the Edler”, but Myers has really perfected it. - 1970vintage
I liked Edler. I like Myers. He frustrates the hell out of me sometimes, but hey, every D man I've ever watched or played with has. |

What I’m saying is I agree, Hughes will bridge for 3 years at $6 or whatever, but Barry will be looking forward a number on the following 8 year deal that will average out with the current deal in the $9 range… - 1970vintage
If and or when Hughes & Pettersson sign, it’ll be close to training camp imo. They’ve got leverage, Pettersson more so than Hughes. |

Coming is a brand new season without the crap hurdles last one had. Lots of roster change at start like everybody else tied for 1st. |

Petey & Hughes been treated very well. That counts for something. Hughes got to burn an ELC year playing a minimal amount his 1st year. |

Agents don’t care about that, careers are short, they’ll try and maximize salary knowing the Canucks are a bottom 10’ish team without EP40 and Hughes. |

Those cap hurdles were created in house (and exasperated), and could have been overcome, but no budget. Thankfully the purse has been opened this year again. Still some challenges for the next couple years but I’m a much better position now for sure. |

I liked Edler too, and while I’ve never really liked Myers, I can admit that it’s the contract that I really don’t like. |

Here you go Lordy, you can have fun AND get vaccinated at the same time:

You can meet your favourite BC Lion in the process. Unfortunately, I couldn’t name a single player on the BC Lions so not sure who my favourite would be. Does Swervin’ Mervyn still play for them? - bloatedmosquito
I don't follow the Lions or the CFL anymore is there a Seahawks gal I can check out?? |

Disagree. It will happen soon. Benning is on a roll. |

Green is not going to move Pearson off of Bo's line. He doesnt care if Garland is considered top 6 that's for sure. - boonerbuck

If Everyone takes the share they are worth then there is no hurdles. This is not a Benning situation . The great Joe Sakik lost his starting goalie because the Asks were ridiculous. Carolina let Hamilton walk because he wanted to get overpaid.
Seth Jones and Werenski are not 9 mil players but you find dumb ass GMs that shoot themselves in the foot by overpaying and raising the bar.

Armstrong paid sammy Blais and a 3rd for Buchnevich, then just dealt reaves for a third to NYR. So essentially blais and reaves for buchnevich. That's a huge win |

My post had noting to do with the cap. It was about a very difficult & strange set of circumstances.

IF followed by a negative outlook is BS. Why not let it play out? - Nighthawk
I think that’s the same attitude as the whiners. Why all the positivity when the track record is so spotty? Why not wait before getting too excited and let it play out.
I get it that the complaining gets loud sometimes. But I think it’s justified in most cases. I’m only talking about in here of course. |

The players decide in the end what they like & what they’ll sign for. Agents in it only to max out their cut unless they are smart & roll a bit with the GM. It’s in the best interest everyone to be amiable. Want to win a player knows it takes more than being greedy. If they are greedy so be it. Hello Leafs lol |

I very rarely get mad when a player high sticks. I am a fan of making the other team pay the price.

Don’t miss him. He hadn’t given it much of chance & he had WD coaching. Sayonara we move on. |
