I don’t follow him, of listen (I actually have no idea if he has a podcast or what he’s doing), someone else liked or retweeted. But yes, apparently he is still alive and kicking and talking Canucks.

I thought I would read one day they found him in a alley in his leather pants at the age of 85 with an empty bottle of Crown and a photo of Benning with devil horns and a mustache.

JP Barry will be on Donnie and Dummie tomorrow talking Petey/Hughes contracts. He was actually on the Athletic Hockey Show yesterday, so not sure there will be anything new, but…

Oh, I bet they will find much, much more. And yes, it will be in the alley behind the Niagara hotel.

And if the play at the end of the season is improved, will all the whining still be considered valid...yeah thought so.

There are several here that complain about the team non stop, and then they complain non stop about people that call them whiners. So is this new whining complaints a badge of honor.

This is pretty accurate . I think it is a short line with JB. No room for failure.

The thing I like so far is the toughness on the D . It looks like a D that will jump in and fight.

I am also looking forward to the new kids Pods and Klimovich. He looks like he has a little Raffe Torres mixed with very decent shot.

Then again he could be a Cedarholm

- VANTEL

He's my dark horse to be the next impactful draft pick. All eyes will be on Podz and if he's a top 6 talent this season. But Klimovich will make, at barely 18, what looks to be a strong Abby team. He might get a look with Canucks if Green likes him at camp.

I think it’s the absolutes that people seem to be willing to “die” for that aggravates people. Intelligent, compassionate, well reasoned folk like you and I are perfectly capable of recognizing when we’re wrong about something, while still beating our own personal drums.

I certainly try not to complain to much, over the years there have been a handful of players or coaches I never cared for, (Stretcher, Green) but if they played or coached a decent game I would recognize that.

I see other social media forums criticize non stop, they would chose abstract issues to complain about...in the guise of real journalism. Readers swallow it up, repeat the complaints and use the original article as proof of their stance.

Is there any wonder why some here question the validity or qualifications of Dahliwal, Sat whatever, Wagner or Sekeres. I personally think of them as hacks that use drama and innuendos to get followers and support.

But to each their own, and the statement made earlier about fragile ego's is also an asinine, and full of drama seeking attention.

Just my 2 cents on the subject.

Well as someone who listens to all those guys I think you’re wrong. Yes, they say some sensational things from time to time, but mostly they report on current topics, using “expert” guests to help lend opinion and fact. Yes, they all end up being guests on each other’s shows, which damages their credibility a little, but they also talk directly to agents, coaches, players (current and former) and reporters from other markets.

I never agree with everything they say (or even most of it), but along with their “negative” takes they also provide plenty of relevant and “positive” information.

Ya they have plenty of inside scoops, are at all the pressers and have been journos for a long while. Well connected ones to boot.

You can get bogged down in the negative, or pull out the positive, or listen to all of it and draw your own conclusions. Up to each of us.

Fair enough, just like there are some that like Green as a coach, there will be some that like those guys as providers of information. We each have our likes and dislikes, and we may not agree, but I respect your opinions and won't mock your choices.

I think Aquilini told him to clean up the mess because marketing what was there would have been impossible, but if this team starts looking similar to last year I don't think he will hesitate in firing JB, so either way there should be less whining.
- A_SteamingLombardi

Maybe jimbo sucked on purpose the last 4 years to get some high draft picks and take a Stab at a lottery win because there was nothing. The way he did an about face and came out looking like he knows what he's doing makes you think.

I listened to 650 yesterday. I forgot which hosts they were but the "expert guests" they had on barely got to express their own opinions. Every question presented was 20 seconds of of them expressing their own opinion and ending it with "don't you think?" or "wouldnt you agree?". Naturally, every single time the guest agreed with them and just repeated what they said. What the (frank) is that? Why not just ask "whats your opinion on ______?". They are setting up the answer they want. Not much different than when they spend all day cherry picking tweets, texts and e-mails to support their narratives and present it as what the fans think.

To be honest, I haven’t really listened to 650 lately. When they fired everyone and restructured their shows I lost interest. I like Rintoule, he’s a quality human, and I subscribe to the Canuck Central podcast but mostly just end up deleting it because it’s always from yesterday, and we discuss all the days happenings in here.

I like Sekeres & Price even if they are “negative”, Drance, and you can get full coverage from The Athletic podcasts and a few others. There are literally a 100 options out there for Canuck content. If you don’t like one source, there are 99 other options.

And Carol, obviously.

I actually signed up for the Athletic, I like the diverse content on all the different sports.

Drance can be good, I like the the Harman guy, but I usually stay away from Canucks content because of the negativity(I get that here, plus most of the articles are posted here)[with a trigger warning] Now that there has been quite a few changes to the team I think the articles will be more positive in nature.

Rintoule is the only one of them that comes across as a professional. He runs a no nonsense type of show.

the only Canuck content I consume comes from Carol and this cesspool of ignorance and misunderstanding.

Does it show?
