Any traction on a 3-metal? I have golfed since we got home to AZ, too hot. Found a great hazy IPA at Porters pub in old town Scottsdale today though, love me some tasteful beer!

Is it really stupid to not overpay? Avs and Car let their players walk for free , at least if Benning and the two players can't agree they can trade.

Overpay your stars and you become Toronto.

If Benning overpays Petey and Hughes then you can say goodbye to Boeser or JTM.

It’s a delicate balance and everyone has their own ideas on what’s right. My thought is that it’s much better for overall team building to overpay your stars by $500k-$1m as you typically only have 2-3 stars. Hardline at the bottom, and a little flexibility in the middle. When all of your bottom 6 are over paid it makes getting too line guys much more difficult.

Give Huggy a 3 yr contract and move him to NJD before he cashes in big time.

Once Rathbone settles in Hughes has less stroke.

Seattle really poop the bed. They made so many mistakes. Better off to cheer for Calgary if you jump off the Canucks wagon.

$7.9 for Petey

They’re wanting a shot at two generational players in the next two drafts.

Just heard on today’s Sekeres and Price that the Yankees added Joe Gallow.

Or could it be Joey Callow.

You younguns might not get that.

Benning has 16 million in cap space with Pod and Hog in the lineup, 19.5 million with what’s his name on LTIR. If they have to match say 8.5 and 7 million for EP40 and Hughes that leaves just enough to re-sign Dickinson. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Hughes can’t be offer-sheeted. Just EP. But I know what you are saying. Because of the terms and money canucks have or will be dishing out, they need to be very careful managing their cap space so when its time to “make a move” at the deadline they have the ability to do so.

I wonder what the Canucks no-go point is to match an offer on EP.

5 years, $10.83m? 4 first round picks compensation and UFA at the end of that contract…

I bet Pettersson is looking for 9 million a year, and Hughes around 7.5. That backs the Canucks organization into a corner.

I wonder if the Nigerian woman running the 100m can skate? She’d be the clear the net type D the Canucks could really use.

I wouldn't bother with him. He is just an ass with a bunch of alt accounts trying to stir things . I usually don't bother reading any of them.
