Karine Hains: A Busy Day Everything that had been reported in advance arrived in Habsland and then some, but Marc Bergevin’s work is certainly not done for this offseason.

I know... sérieux j'ai l'impression qu'ils choisissent des québécois présentement juste pour faire taire la presse avec Mailloux lol...

Not a bad day. But feels like there’s about 2 extra wingers and theses could be Drouin & Byron.

Hoffman/Caufield
Toffoli/Anderson
Armia/Gallagher

Unless we think Armia keeps on the 4th but he’s paid 3rd liner $.

Maybe a Drouin for Dunn trade be done?

Feels like something sort of has to give with this lineup. We have somewhat of a logjam now on the wings. Hoffman-Toffoli-Byron are our best LWs imo, personally I'd try and ship out Drouin for cap space and keep Lehk. Maybe somebody will take a gamble if enticed with a pick. I guess Perry probably isn't coming back. On defense, is Kulak just not going to play? It's unfortunate, because I think he's a good bottom paring dman. Maybe Romanov is trade bait for a centre.

he should either assume the pick, or rescind it, the league should be taking the heat for letting him be part of the draft in the first place, and having this dumb rule preventing players from withdrawing themselves from the draft

When on his game, Drouin is better than Byron, I sure hope the former get back to form

I realize Caufield is a fan favourite and habs fans don't want to trade him but I think we could afford trading him with the Hoffman signing.
Caufield, Guhle, Drouin and a 1st for Jack Eichel

Hoffman - Eichel - Anderson
Toffoli - Suzuki - Gallagher
Lehkonen - KK - Armia
Byron - Evans - (Perry?)
Paquette, Poehling, Belzile

Edmundson - Petry
Chiarot - Romanov
Kulak - Savard
Wideman

Price
Allen

I realize it's a lot to give up but the team would be much improved imo.
and it would take a lot to get BUF to trade Eichel within the division. I see Eichel as a top 5-6 center in the league.

This team is better--- we tend to forget that Weber was a disaster during the regular season---

If Eichel was 100% healthy, sure, but I'd have a hard time trading Caufield with both the injury uncertainty and his big contract along with it.
