Kubalik will never be a PPG player. a 30/20 guy? I can see that and there is nothing wrong with that. Saad will always be better defensively, tho. Probably the better player at ES, too.

That is, of course, if Kubalik is still around after this season.

- Elbows15

Should he pot 30 or near that he's gone, Stan won't be able to afford him.

They are already on the books for $53m, w/only 10 players

So Kub's getting $5-6 and Dach getting $4 it gets tight in a hurry

His hands are ok - you cannot take a calf high pass and knock it into the net while on the move without great hands ... and that is exactly what he has done.

I mean talk like the 'hands' talk is Viktor Stalberg talk.

I like Kubalik a lot. I like players who try to work on their weaknesses and Kubalik definitely did last season. Kubie's hands aren't the greatest either. Watch how often he struggles to hold a pass in transition. His positives far outweigh his negative. He is one of the least problems on this team.
- Elbows15

Agreed, was way more engaged in backchecking last year, and he does have a great shot, I’d like to keep him, hopefully he doesn’t price himself out from Hawks. He’s not a PPG forward, but he will score goals.

Don't even

Have you ever lost the horizon flying? Not been sure where you were in the sky, up, down, whatever?

That's basically what Biles experienced mid air. Look up the "twisties" and what it can do to gymnasts or divers. Considering she's upside down over a 4" wide piece of wood or 10' over the mat, if that happens, it can be catastrophic.

If he is sent down to the A, he won't be there for long

At least he can still live in Seabrook's garage either way.

Have not watched a second of it and won't. Big mental health advocate but I don't want to hear athletes complain about mental health sorry..... everyday people face way more pressure than athletes. I especially don't want to hear it from pro athletes that make millions.

Average folks deal with the same mental health issues plus add in constantly worrying about financial well-being, etc. Pro athletes are millionaires and have access to things most of us can only dream of.... complain about your job and the physical and mental toll it takes on you...maybe go ask a construction worker who destroys his/her body over a lifetime what real stress and issues are or the mental stress a nurse in a high volume hospital experiences or a cop or a fireman.

RANT OVER. Hockey.

Saad is simply faster and stronger. So was Viktor Stahlberg. In reality Kubs and Saad are two different animals. If Saad wanted to remain a Blackhawk he's let his agent/father f it up twice now. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

She can take one but I don't want it to hear about for a week or how great it is that she decided not to compete. Cool you needed a mental break performing a sport. Most of us don't get the chance to take off work or just recuse ourselves for a mental break.

Never a big Saad fan but - mainly because I thought $6M salary was too much. In the playoffs with the Avs he was very good, better than Landeskog. If nothing else, he is consistent year over year.

Interesting how free agency works - Saad signing with the Blues will allow them to dump Tarasenko somewhere. The cost of new contracts for Landeskog and Makar cost Saad and Grubauer jobs with the Avs and then Sakic had to dump a Dman and a 1st rounder in order to get himself a new goaltender.

- RickJ

Saad is nowhere the scoring threat Tarasenko is and that's good for us. We thought his defense would offset Panarin's scoring which definitely did not happen.

I hope the last person cut from the team, the one who didn’t get the chance to compete at all, is as understanding as you are.

The alternate filled in, so she got her chance, and someone who didn't qualify for US position on all-around, filled Simone's spot today.

Cool, Stan holding all the cards, lets see what he does.

Retain half, and recoup #1.

If he does that, Jones trade looks better.

I'm pro-Simone on the Olympics thing. I'm with Ogi and Dots that the Summer Olympics are pretty boring to me. Much more so than earlier in my life. I think it's because the whole amateur thing is out.

Agreed - as much as I loved The Dream Team back in the day thanks to my Drexler love, bringing them in has changed the tenor of the games since.

Do the Penguins even have a first? They always trade them away. Penguins fans seem to think they're getting him for nothing with the Hawks retaining salary because it's either that or he retires or by their logic Chicago has to buy him out.
