Beyond the Mental Health Breaks of the self proclaimed GOAT, I refuse to acknowledge anything that is decided by judges as a legitimate sport. If there’s no definitive outcome it’s nonsense.

Agree 100% on that one, too. Doesn't mean what they do isn't athletic, just that true sport, to me, has a definitive outcome.

I don't know if I believe the "self proclaimed" part of it. Idk about "goat" either, she does have a handful of moves named after her.

I can agree with the athletic v. sport debate.

I don't get pissy about athletes taking mental breaks if I don't care about the Olympics in the first place. I like the Olympics & have seen what I wanted. Kind of weird without a crowd, their families. I don't like the judges either, but I also don't like refs in professional sports (some of the times).

For Biles pulling out, I'm fine with it, any athlete that pulls out saying mental health problems. A tennis player said that too & dropped out. Biles is young, but also had a lot of traumatic experiences in her life. I understand it without knowing what she's going through.

I watch a few events. I love it when an athlete defies all odds and wins when he or she isn’t even rated in the event and has no business winning. I like the crazy moments like Eddie the eagle a ski jumper who looked like Bubbles in the Trailer Park Boys compete. Or the Jamaican Bobsled team. I love Olympic hockey in the winter. I like some swimming events and track and field. Of course there are some goofy sports I have no interest in watching too.

As for mental health issues. I know someone who years ago took her life at a time no one took mental health problems seriously. It’s good that there is help for people now and with more and more famous people admitting they suffer from it, maybe it allows some to go forward and seek help, which my friend never did.

I agreed with the idea that true sports have true outcomes and no judges to tell us who won or lost. I posted earlier that I am pro-Simone. I support her choice fully.

I def agree with you on all accounts. That is horrible to hear about your friend. I'm sorry, because that is so tough. I know that feeling, because I've known & lost people like that too.

Mo, I was posting to add my 2 cents, not attack you or argue. Most of what you said I agreed with.

For anyone who cares/follows the investigation, Boynton singled out 3 names. (I'm sorry if this reignites a fire.)

Reaves got traded to the Rangers. I’m sure Tom Wilson isn’t happy to hear that

New blog! A look at where the Blackhawks stand currently with the roster after a busy week of transactions, what could be in store moving forward, and how to evolve even more.

Plus, a brief look at 2020 5th rounder Isaak Phillips.
