I read that somewhere, too, that Kurashev was untouchable as far as the Jones trade. Glad to see.

From what I can recall that list included DeBrincat, Dach, Reichel, and Kurashev. I think there was 1-2 more.

Most scouts and scouting directors admit they don't understand the intricacies of the position so they have one on staff just to evaluate goalies... Whoever the Hawks have employed, assuming they have one, has been horrid at best.

The Peeters kid was out of the USHL and this kid literally could not skate. I mean a couple times a game go behind his net, or out of his crease, and fall down. Kinda kid you felt sorry for watching cuz he's trying but is just so far in over his head .. I have to believe one of two things, they used a THIRD rd pick on this kid not seeing him or the person evaluating doesn't do goalies.

Simply said a fireable offense.

the only thing missing from that list is a goaltending prospect of some sort. not sure why the hawks really havn't drafted one since CC. or really seem to put it as a priority. i get stock piling 1000 defense prospects how about a goalie or 2? maybe i missed soemthing in the prospect pipeline?

If anything, many report the surgery make's in stronger. Just don't get the stress over an ACL, not necessarily you, its just something I've read a lot over the last day or two.

Its not in relation to the ACL. He will be fine there. He has been dinged up the 3 seasons prior to last season. Missing 15-20 games each season. He plays full out every shift and if he can learn to pace himself a bit, I think his injury history will be a thing of the past.

I prefer my defenceman to have those qualities.

Missed that from last year. did some reading up he has potential!

im hoping if Stan does make a deal that pulls in a 1st that its in 23. he should be stock piling anything in the first round in 23 to get a chance at Bedard. im lucky i live where i do and will be able to see him play live alot. to lead the WHL in scoring as a 15 year old is pretty incredible. granted in a bubble so maybe the stats are a bit off but man hes gonna be good.

I agree...not always healthy but decent when he is, was thinking Ryan Murray would be another option, health again being the concern tho.

I just don't see the Hawks making another move for the blue line until deHaan is gone or McCabe isn't ready for the start of the season, or Jones, since Torts said he needed surgery at the end of the season.
