Columbus has a Goalie available.

I wouldn't be surprised if they gave you Joonas Korpisalo for your overpriced backup Mikko Koskinen and a 1st round pick next year. You get a good goalie and cap relief, the CBJ get a good pick in next year's draft.

His stats are worse than Koskinen's. You can keep him and the Oil will keep their 1st.

So as of now:
Hyman - CMD - JP
Nuge - Drai - Yamo (if signed)
Foegele - Ryan - Kassian
Shore - McLeod - Archibald

Forwards look a little better than last year.

Nurse - Barrie
Keith - Bouchard
Russell - Ceci

Defense took a big step back.

Smith
Koskinen

Goalies are stagnant.

Overall looks like the Oilers have taken a step back. But should still compete for a playoff spot simply off the top 2 lines and the first pairing of defense.

Meanwhile, Flames have got a tough playoff team to play against. IF they can make the playoffs with that crew.
Kraken didn't come out how everyone expected.
Knights have lost some pieces but still look like the team to beat as long as Lehner can play.
Vancouver will improve if they can resign everyone and build chemistry with the additions.
Anaheim is still working on their rebuild.
SJ look to have stayed stagnant or worse.
LAk sleeper pick. Could ride right back into the top 4 3 .

So more of last year essentially.

Korpisalo isn't a good goalie.

Gentlemen,

I understand your reticence about trading goalies. However, you need cap space, and do not let your eyes deceive you. Last year was a massive dumpster for the CBJ, and he was hurt.

Remember that two years ago he was an all-star goalie, and did happen to have a 71 save performance and a marvelous series against Tampa last year. He also torched Toronto in the playoffs as well. There is nobody left out in FA as good as he is, IMO.

"All Star goalie" with a .911 sv% behind a sturdy defensive team. Should we ignore the rest of his subpar career numbers?

Ben Scrivens also had an impressive 59-save shutout; doesn't make him special.

As for other options, I'd much prefer they target Georgiev.

Why you trying to sell him to us, we don't make the trades. You gotta convince Holland. The rest of us know that is not the goalie we should be looking for. If you want the reported package you are asking for Elvis better be on the table. Otherwise they can go talk to a team like Dallas that has a crowded crease situation. Bishop would look good in Blue and orange for 2 years.
