Lol Montreal will be lucky to make the playoffs. They won’t finish ahead of any of the top 3 in the division. They’ll miss the playoffs and people will finally learn that the Canadiens run was nothing but luck. |

Eklund, I’m a Sabres fan and I’m just curious on how you could say sabres have average goaltending? Anderson and Dell are average to you? Lol - Jammerz04
Ya below average goal-tending. The worst in the league. |

Panthers do look like the fav this year but season is long and if they have LTIR players during the season who knows who picks up the slack and how the team overcomes adversity. My bet in Vegas is on them. |

cause its fun... - Eklund
Participating in your contest was also fun.
Not getting a single update or awarding of any prizes...bit of a disappointment. |

Other than the top three, the division is wide open. The Panthers should be the favorites, and Tampa and Boston should be 2 & 3. Toronto and Montreal are both worse off than they were, and Detroit and Ottawa should be much improved. Buffalo is going to have a tough season, to put it kindly. I think Toronto squeezes out the fourth spot, with Detroit, Montreal, and Ottawa fighting it out for 5,6, and 7. |

Let's not kid ourselves here, Toronto will make the playoffs.
1. Florida
2. Toronto
3. Tampa
4. Boston
Montreal has zero chance to fit into one of those spots unless these teams have serious injury issues. The Atlantic is not wide open in any way shape or form. We all know Toronto figures out a way to choke in the playoffs, but this group has been a solid regular season team.

Toronto ahead of Tampa? That would be interesting for sure.
I don't know if the Sabres will win more than 2 games in the first 2 months of the season... or all year long for that matter.

The Lightning are banged up, plus the whole dynamic with the third line is messed up. It'll take a bit for them to get into the swing of the regular season grind again. Meanwhile Toronto should be coming into the season to make a point. Lightning could finish ahead for sure but I'm not going to be surprised at all if they don't.

I'm skeptical about Toronto. They are having to replace their depth scoring with wings and prayers, didn't improve their defense, and still have question marks in goal. Tampa may well struggle early....tough to replace the players they lost, and hangover from all the hockey they have played over the last 12 months and two straight cups will be an issue. They may not hit stride until the second half of the season. I think Toronto makes the playoffs, but second place is a bit of a stretch. |
