Been saying the same and 100% agree. If we can maintain the lineup’s health and limit the injuries for the most part we are contending for the cup again with that lineup imo. Bigger priority to me is a top 4 D man.

To be honest, I want no part of Eichel or Valdy. Not with perfectly healthy players going back the other direction. If want to do picks and some prospects okay. The Islanders cannot afford to give up assets for guys that are one hit away from long term IR.

Not too mention Eichel has an attitude problem. I do not believe he is right for the current team system. But I am sure there are people (fans) that can point to a number reasons why I am wrong.

I was kidding of course. As talented as he is I’m not a fan of Eichel either. He comes off as a bit of a whiner locker room cancer kind of player. Not to keen with his upcoming surgery either. I wouldn’t mind taking a chance on Tarasenko but I don’t think he’s worth giving up a whole heck of a lot for. I’m a fan of signing Palmieri, Parise, our UFA’s and RFA’s along with a top 4. Zero interest in Travis Zajac. That’s the best plan imo.

The procedure for Eichel is life threatening. I don't see anyone trading for him. When buffalo places Eichel on LTIR they have to sign or trade for a few bad contracts. Nobody is coming there.
