The topic of this thread has shifted from Corey Perry to Adolf Hitler. Sorry. |

Karine
Hains: Short and Sweet
Corey Perry’s stay in Montreal will have been short and sweet, after a single season is he now off to Tampa Bay. - Karine Hains
last chance for TB, next summer they will lose even more players. they already have 70M on the cap for 22-23, for only 15 players.
pretty sure I heard Paquette cannot play center on a regular basis. yes for 1 game, but not for the entire season. he's a LW. |

Poehling probably has more upside and potential anyway. Paquette probably shouldn't be a go to lineup option. |

the problem, if the lineup remains as is, is that centers (kk and Evans) won't be in their right chair. not a good receipe for success. even Suzuki to certain extent. |

Its not illegal. There will be a new critical edition in France, but it sure started a debate about is it better to have access to it so we can stay critical or is it better to limit the visibility of his ideas. I am reading a book from a norwegian author i really like. He tells how he bought the book and then was shy of reading it in public. Now he writes this 350 pages analysis of Hitler psychological development and how Hitler was a bad writer, mein kampf a poopty book, and nazis military démonstration a theater where Hitler could finally express his megalomaniac grandiosity. - Réal_Ruelle
well-chosen words.
even with the most terrible of ideas, censorship is rarely a viable answer. hate speech should be countered with logic and discussion, but sadly human beings in general are simply just too dumb for that

Until the last few years, I use to believe in logic and discussion, but we have turned into a culture of soundbite with no capacity to listen to those who have a different point of view anymore to make an informed decision(s).
We have arrived at this point because some people believe this is the structure of society or "discourse" that will help them stay in power, and hence, they foster it every day.

Oh yeah I agree completely they could use a #2 center. Too bad Plekanec in his prime couldn't play with the Habs now, he'd be a perfect fit. Even so though, the centers all have good wingers to play with, so should be insulated pretty well. This team should have no issues whatsoever scoring.
If we got somebody like Kadri at center and Dunne to make the defense more mobile, you think we're contenders again? |

no. to me contenders are teams that are favorites to win the cup, right at camp.
TB, COL, VEG... maybe CAR FLA.
that doesn't mean Habs don't have a shot, but not contenders imo. lets start by making the playoffs.

I think social media have a lot to do with this, where platforms like Facebook and Twitter try to get rid of all the wrongful/hurtful information and points of view, but it's definitely a slippery slope that just cannot end well.

perhaps, just saying the habs currently have the potential to hang in there and compete with those teams. there's talent on the roster, so it'll all depend on execution.

Unfortunately, CAR has decided to take the Flyers route of building a team for the last 30 years - not have a decent goalie.
Otherwise, I would consider them a real contender.

depends on who you're asking, I for one don't consider it that much unfortunate
and yeah their goalie management has been questionable for sure, jebus. |
