Indeed, plus all those guy on TV still have their teeth ... how can they call that hockey?
- Garfield512

Exactly! I lost my first tooth playing goalie in a street hockey game with no mask on a slap shot from my dad lol. Fell to the ground, realized I was bleeding and asked: did I save it? Everyone started laughing...fun times lol

Yeah, I use to play goal until I got whacked by one of those orange plastic balls in the temple, and it pretty much knocked me out... had a giant purple welt for 2+ weeks, wore it with pride, but never played goal again.

LOL.

PS: I told my grandmother that my mother beat me, and my grandmother started yelling at my mom. Was funny, but the last time I pulled that type of joke, too....

I remember getting up early every day to ride down to the city pool for opening and the spending all day there or riding around until dinner time.

No helmets. No supervision.. No worries.

Guess we were lucky.

Lol good for you I guess

Right, I guess it’s time to try and sleep...stupid knee pain, tempted to hit myself on the head with a baseball, that would surely make me pass out and sleep right?

I think the overprotecting actually had some sort of reverse effect over the years, and kids now take more dumb and dangerous decisions.

There's just something wrong watching guys stick handling with a toothpick while hunched over like a dog (frank)ing a football.
