Another big problem is I’m not sure we all realize how good a player Goodrow is. So many things he does. He reminds me of Callahan, maybe lil less offense but more jam |

According to my buddy who is a life long and knowledgeable Blues fan, those are the last 2 they would be moving.
I really wanted ROR. My buddy almost hit me! Said he's retiring a Blue. - Tonybere
I get that, but there is a very real scenario where Binnington stays on the Matt Murray path, their defense gets slower and slower, and they have a very quick decline, where they're sitting there in Feb 2023 going, "We need to move ROR, why would he resign here". Buch will certainly help stay decent (he'll have 70+ points this year), but they'll probably be Minnesota from 2014 until just before last year, competitive but aging and unable to get near the top. |

I don't think anybody doubted that, but how many line-brawls are the Rangers expecting on a nightly basis? - dashripdot
Its not about line brawls ---- its about hits/physicality!
Here is a fun stat for you to consider:
2021 Hits per 60 mins ( minimum 25 games played ) 607 NHL Forwards qualified:
Ryan Reaves #1 overall
Dryden Hunt # 5 overall
Sam Blais # 22 overall
See the trend???
Edit: TJ ---just saw your post while I was doing my research

according to Frank Seravalli, Georgiev didn't officially ask for a trade, but has told management he's "open to it" because apparently he's not exactly beloved by his teammates? |

Canes could use him no?
Maybe Gorton had his back? Idk. But he really never did much for me. If he goes I won’t sweat it at all. I guess Kinkaid/Huska would be the backup. They do have to be careful tho, Shesty is injury prone |

Doing research on hits and penalty minutes, I discovered a shocking fact:
Rangers 1994 Stanly Cup winning team Penalty Mins/Season:
1) Beukeboom
2) ???
3) Kocur
4) Graves
Can you guess who was number 2???

Where does he slot in at this point if there isn't a forward going the other way? Right now we have
Laf - Zib - Kakko
Panarin - Strome - Kravtsov
Kreider - Goodrow - Chytil
Blais - Rooney/Barron - Reaves/Gauthier
Unless we move Goodrow to the 4th line I don't see where Dvorak fits without Strome or Chytil going the other way |

Blais 103 hits in 36 games
Goodrow 111 hits in 55 games
Reaves 141 hits in 37 games
Hunt 94 hits in 26 games
somebody making the decisions think hits matter, and guess what? They do matter. ESPECIALLY in the playoffs

So what you're saying is that they suck at driving possession and are always chasing the puck. Explains all of them having terrible Corsi even on good teams. Also explains why we won the hits in nearly every big loss last season but never in big wins. |

I haven't heard any scuttlebutt yet, but haven't paid too much attention the last few days either. Honestly, not sure how much I like the idea of these Super Conferences. I definitely didn't like it for college basketball. I miss the old Big East.
SEC fans are already insufferable. They are going to get worse. - Pete V
I just hope the conference cannabilizes each other. When coaches get fired for going 9-3, that's when they'll start to implode. lol |
