Is Turcotte’s value that much higher than Eichel’s that we go ahead and offer up Nils? - aecliptic
I would say so. No injury history and on an ELC. Could be one of those trades that’s a win win for both teams. |

Maybe could be Nils and Gauthier. Kravtsov is to much. I don’t know much about the LA guys tho - Slimtj100
We have a good idea how Turcotte has been viewed through the years as a potential two-way 1C. If Nils is projected as a top pairing offensive defensemen, then the margin of separation between the 2 isnt that great. So Id say… Nils and Cuylle (and maybe an additional small kicker) for Turcotte. |

Neither has Neils and Kravtsov has 4 NHL points. I’m saying all 3 players are good. It’s one of those give to get type deals. |

Krav and nils is a lot tho for one guy. It def makes sense the rangers utilize either Nils or Schneider for a locked in 2C, at worst. Wether that be a healthy Eichel, Willy K, can’t miss prospect, etc. that is their best chip and deepest position and most coveted in the league most of the time, RHD I mean |

Draft pedigree is going to play a huge part in the trade. Turcotte was a 5th overall pick, right or wrong you’re going to have to pay a little more bc of that. I think it’s the only reason we got a 2nd for Lias, his career and stats were worthy of a 3rd/4th round pick, being the 7th overall pick he got us a 2nd. |

Rangers should reenact the Where’s the beef commercial and at the end have all the newbies skate out one by one haha |

Someone found something about his college stats and he was like 55%-56% percent. - aecliptic
That was me. 54-55 at Cornell. Don't know if it was one season or career, etc. |

LAF Zib Kakko
Panarin Turcotte Chytil
Kreider Barron Goodrow
Blais Rooney Reaves
Not bad. I’d still like to sign Ritchie but even if we don’t it gives Barron a shot. |

So u don’t think draft pedigree has anything to do with trading guys that haven’t played in the NHL yet? |

True but Kravtsov was a 9th overall pick. I don't think it takes a top prospect like Nils to bridge that gap |

I guess. You mean because of his dad? Or picked 5th? Because Fox was a 3rd rder? And was all world at that point pretty much they said. Does Turcotte have that kinda buzz? I’m asking, not trying to be a dyck haha |

But the bridge between Krav and Turcotte is pretty wide. Turcotte and Nils is a lot closer I believe. |

I think the plan is to have Barron play big minutes at Hartford and then get called up when the inevitable injury bug hits. I'm all for that too. |

Bc he was the 5th overall pick. The basis for the trade would be Krav/Nils for Trucotte and w.e. If you wanted to add something from LA to even it out ok, I bet if u asked LA fans they wouldn’t do Krav/Nils for Turcotte, let alone add something. |

Is it possible that LA signed Danault because they don't project Turcotte as a center? If that's the case does he solve our problems? |

I think they want to compete. Kopitar Byfield Danault is how they look down the middle now. Vilardi Turcotte Kupari Kempe are all natural centers, do u just move all 4 to wing? |

He’s looking like a middle 6 center, he started off in the AHL on fire but cooled off towards the end. Not sure he’s ready for a full time role as a 2C just yet. |

I think Vilardi has played better as winger for them |
