Yes it would be, if indeed he was an asset, which he’s not to the Hawks IMO. He may add some value to a bottom feeder with less talent down the middle, however the Hawks do have some talent down the middle, even if they end up being a bottom feeder team.

I still feel like Strome can be an asset to the Blackhawks. He’s probably our most dynamic point producer other than Kane, Toews and Cat. If Strome can learn to play the wing and play PP which he is really good at I think he still has value.

Until Dach shows that he can produce points I’m skeptical that we can rely on him at all for scoring. After that, who do we have that can provide secondary scoring? Maybe Tyler Johnson, maybe Nylander. I think if all we get for Strome is a third, the better decision is to play him at wing and hope he produces 50-60 points this season if he stays healthy, then we can reassess next offseason.

When you look in the mirror do you see full on retardation? Or just partially? I posted that he likely wasn't coming when it was reported, things changed and i posted that too. I know you're a complete (frank)ing moron but at least keep up a little bit.

I’m not anti-Strome, my preference would be to have him emerge as a consistent middle-6 contributor. But, that’s far from a certainty and Stan needs to shed some forwards both from a cap perspective and to free up roster spots.

Kubalik - Dach - Kane
DeBrincat - Toews - Borgstrom
Hagel - Johnson - Strome
Kurashev - Khaira - Carpenter
Connolly - Gaudette - Nylander
Reichel

Most of them have given up on him, no big deal and Stan doesn't have to trade anyone either to fit below the cap.

Next summer the Hawks have Kubalik, Strome, Gaudette and C. Jones who are arbitration eligible.

I could see Jones sticking around, Kubalik is 50/50 to stay, Strome and Gaudette will be gone.

As of today the only one worth keeping is Kubalik. Hopefully Stan signs him to a three year contract before he goes to arbitration, if he goes to arbitration, then yes he’s probably gone.

Imo if kubalik has another 30 goal or more i don't believe they will be able to afford his next contract. If the season does not go well, i m hoping it does Not go bad ,then trade kubalik at the tdl along with murphy dehann and possibly fleury if wants to go to a contender for a cup run .if not that's ok to his decision. Good see he made a decision and is playing for the hawks. So lets what the next move by bowman is. I could see shaw's contract plus strome to a team say Detroit buffalo Ottawa maybe even Seattle.

Very interested to see Gaudette this season with the supposed 20 pounds of muscle added. Reading between the lines of the QOs, Hawks seem to be culling anyone who is not committed to improvement -- big signal to Nylander.

Why not, Fleury is off the books, deHaan, i mean how much more expensive is Kubs going to be, they already are paying him $4 mil?

I just hope he becomes a point per game player after this season, not during

Strome will probably be gone, that's $3 more mil

Strome is not a wing unless you mean a wing that is red.

Seth Jones 4million raise and dach's extension if hawks decide to keep Murphy if so he will want a raise. Don't forget about Kane and possibly towes potential extensions. Don't get me wrong I like to kubalik I just don't know they can fit him in. Forgot dcat extension also

First time I have heard the word dynamic used in association with Dylan Strome. So if I see a land tortoise moving down my street I'm going to call it dynamic too.

Ya Strome has the ability to put up some points - as long as his shifts are played below the dots in the O zone. Otherwise, he can't handle the pace that today's NHL game is played at. And it doesn't matter if he's at center or playing as a winger where he will get rubbed off the puck by most NHL defenceman.

If he isn't moved this month, I expect he will be on the waiver wire when camp opens up. I think he is out of favour with the coaching staff and Bowman knows it. But a team like Buffalo now without Eichel or Reinhart can make use of him for 1 season.

I certainly hope that, if they are still with the Hawks, the fringe players come to camp understanding they need to earn their spot. Are you listening Strome, Nylander, Gaudette, Borgstrum, Kurashev, Carpenter, Connolly, Reichel? Probably only room for 4 of the 8 of you! It would make for an interesting camp.
