Debrincat is built like a fire hydrant. I almost ran into him (literally) on the lake front trail when he was first drafted. Huge shoulders and no neck which for a 19 year old was pretty impressive.

He's going to look like Trotz when older...

Basically you would be buying a mid to late 1st round draft pick for $3.5 mil of cap space for one year. Not a bad deal.
- -Doh-

And $3.5 million actual dollars. That's not chump change.

Only mention jarry because if money 3.5 million would have to come back to make the deal work. If fleury retires hawks get 7 million in cap space but fleury could retire and two months later come out of retirement and sign with pittsburg.

I doubt that is how it works. If he retired with one year on his contract as a member of the Blackhawks, I would bet if he came out of retirement this year, he would still be Hawks property. Pens would still have to trade for him.

I think the Haawks will ay him at C between Kane and Debrincat to start

But with them getting Johnson while still having guys like Strome (for now) and Borgstrom - why not put Dach at wing and let him get some confidence. Hasn't played a full season. Hasn't consistently learned how to score.

This may be his first 82 game season. Let him play wing with Toews may help him in the long run

Which I why I think Kursharev to the AHL to start (while I think hes better than Strome) - is best for him now and the Hawks later

- PatShart

Dach didn't lack confidence in the bubble and he was a 19 yr old rookie. If it's QoC relief have him center L3........ I just don't like the idea of moving the kid out of position, he's a 2 way natural C. Yr 1 as a 19 yr old he faces top 6 opponents and top 4 pairings. Yr 2 he gets busted up and brought back too early. Yr 3 have him play wing?

Had not seen this 30:00 shift by shift of Nolan Allan. Thanks for posting........... Looking at his stats I thought yea, they reached, but after watching this I can see where he might not be there with their next pick at #62.

Damn, this kid can flat out skate and this at 6ft 2in 195lbs. Not only does he skate beautifully he can ride his edges and has excellent balance...... Kid shows a ton of confidence and it's all predicated from his skating. Kid shows IQ too to read the play and with that skating to fall back on steps up at the blueline, or even the neutral zone, and stops rushes. ..... LBR's fancy chart shows the kid in the 95 percentile of stopping rushes and this film shows why. ...... He's not afraid to jump up due to that skating but he seems he won't take risks but the IQ and feet are there to do so.

Great understanding of leverage/body position along the walls and in his slot to go along with being strong. Pretty solid stick work defensively too........

And I agree with the scout who said he showed offensive upside at the WJC-18. He showed hands moving past 2 players from the attack blueline along the wall to get to the circles and fire.

I like this pick, a LOT, no matter most had him way lower. High high floor and fills a need. Damn nice looking 18 yr old.

I saw a team picture from about 30 years ago of the Wheat Kings (I think). Was looking for someone else, but in the caption it said Barry Trotz. I would have never recognized him. Total long hair. Looked like he could have been in slapshot.

Even better but bruins only have about 2 million in cap space. I think it be a one for one trade if it happens. Darth its make too much sense it won't happen.

Hahn and company are making a push to play late in October. Solid pick up for the Southsider's.

I don't think hahn needs to make another move. Shored up bullben and 2nd base two positions that needed to be addressed.
