Strome + de Haan for Debrusk + 2022 3rd
- DarthKane

going: Strome, Connolly or deHaan 50% retained and Subban. Total cap hit to Bruins $2.35 mil to $3.125 mil depending on which player.

coming back: DeBrusk. Total cap to hit to Hawks $3.675 mil

Too much? ask for a 3rd or 4th round pick?
Too little? offer a 3rd or 4th round pick?

Madrigal is a pretty big give!! One of the best contact hitters in the league even being how young he is
- rwilliams88

They have depth in the system for middle infield. Is why i think they gave up madrigal. Have give to get.

Like to see this happens would benefit both teams.

I totally get it...just saying it’s not like they didn’t give up much. Madrigal will be good for quite some time

If we all like it obviously a bad move for Boston. I'm sure they're still pissed about 2013 when have we ever done a deal with them?

If he can stay on the field- that's been an issue so far in his young career...

Bruins do not need a C: Marchand, Coyle, Nosek, Lazar are their 4 C (they just signed Nosek) which is why Krejci (sp) is on the way out. They have no need to Strome and Def not for Debrusk

Ok coyle is not a 2nd line center but strome is not either so maybe a fit maybe not.

Was a Pit fan but was too young to know that the Hawks gave up Phil, Ken Hodge and Fred Stanfield for him.

And Gilles Marotte and Jack Norris, who I saw stop a penalty shot by Mike "Shakey" Walton (unfortunately that was the only thing he stopped).

That was my understanding was Marotte and Norris never amounted to much of anything where it was essentially a 3 for 1 trade and in retrospective reality, Hodge for Martin straight up might've been somewhat fair, Wirtz's ire towards Espo and urgency to deal him really (frank)ed up the deal (fleecing).

TBF Hodge and Stanfield were 4th liners with the Hawks, and Marotte was touted as the next best thing to Bobby Orr.
