But now, how can they trade him when he still wants the surgery that they call too risky? How can they market him while keeping that opinion on the surgery? Teams won’t line up to take that gamble...it’s a right mess - Karine Hains
See what else comes out, is it as bad as there saying, obviously if he is playing in shinny games he's not to worried about falling or hitting the boards. He hasn't been back to Buffalo in over a month, so have to see where this goes. |

it does have an amateur/unprofessional vibe to it. but then again, it's Buffalo. - Pat1993
Medical issues aside, hard pass on him.... too much of a head-case, me over team, vibe from him.

Hearing Nick Ritchie to TOR. Sounds like 2x$2.5M |

Bergevin made some good additions...but..losing Danault is major..its a huge hit short term...Suzuki still needs to develop...and KK needs to develop even more...as good and as promising as Evans is he ain't no Danault...and Poehling remains a mystery although he probably will make the team at camp...who is taking those important D zone face offs?..who is shutting down the best players on the other teams...this Habs team will have a hard time taking that 4th spot in the division to get into the playoffs barring bad seasons from the other teams in the division..Habs need a PMD...and probably another C to shore up the middle... |
|
|
|
and Danault's move to LA reeks of pettiness...the Habs offered $5m for 5 yrs at a minim...reports are he dissed $5m for 6 years..how is his spot in LA different than Mtl...taxes are high...his playing time will be affected by LA's upcoming and young C's....looks like a pissed off Danault more than a smart move..looks pretty lateral to me. |

They need either a vet or make a trade, how do we bring in Dylan Larkin from DET? |

That’s what I have been saying all along, we don’t need him on this team if that’s the case plus Kings are also hard pressed to make the playoffs this season |

Maybe Toffoli told him how good it was to play with Kopitar and Doughty? I highly doubted though |

I agree a lot of questions here....and then I was thinking.....Gally, Tatar, and Danault were a dominant line for the HAbs for 3 seasons...who does GAlly play with now?..is he going to be as effective?...Did we just neuter GAlly?....so many questions remain unanswered....this team is not done yet...I hope Bergevin has some plans...he usually does....lets see.

do the math...cross country trek relocating the family...selling his home in Canada, agent fees....there is no huge payday here..its probably costing him if not breaking even to go to a team that's not going to the playoffs...and where he will be even more vulnerable to up and coming young talent...lateral move... |

he's making 5.5 million dollars a year, I get that there are taxes and costs to moving or whatever, but how could he be "breaking even", come on |
