What would be the cost to get Zibanejad from the Rags?

Drouin going the other way would make it absorbable. Besides, everybody’s production dropped for the past 2 seasons in Nashville. Not having to be the go to guy would also fit him better. Having 20G-50pts 2nd center while giving you time to see what you really have in KK is a safer route than the ridiculous asking price for Eichel which health status is a big ?

RJ isn't a 20/50 guy anymore but...in this scenario the only options are a requirement to trade for either Eichel or Johansen? There's no option to do nothing or get somebody else?

Lastly...and I find myself asking this a lot when people seem to want random player x...have you watched RJ play the last few years?

Yea he'll cash in for sure but I think he still has 5 really strong seasons in him, so I wouldn't mind giving him one or 2 extra years where he'll probably suck or be bought out at the end

There sure is other options, was exploring this one. Yeah i saw him play last year (not this one) and he didn’t look as bad as you said. Big guy, with good vision who still protect well the puck. Whatever lol

Definitely doesn't hurt but Z is a good player on his own and Montreal has a lot of quality wingers for him, not Bread Man good, but certainly very capable NHL wingers with plenty of offense

He's not good and not nearly worth his contract. He is as bad as I've said...that's why Nashville was praying Seattle would take him in expansion and that's why Seattle didn't take him

They wanted Duchene shipped out way before RJ but whatever man I don’t think we will agree on this one and i dont feel like debating on an irrelevant topic like Ryan Johansen.

Z is good, I agree...but he's going to get paid based on the numbers he puts up with Panarin most likely...not his previous years. His next deal will also start the year he turns 30 which is a dangerous deal an acquiring team would need to be prepared to give

Do you have an opinion on Dvorak who was an idea thrown around before? I've never even noticed him play outside of hearing he was supposed to be a promising prospect with the coyotes at some point.

I agree this should die but I'll end this here - I want a billion dollars before I want a million dollars but I still really (frank)ing want a million dollars...and nobody wants RJ and his contract

I like Dvorak. Liked him in London and got to see him play a lot there and he has a pretty well balanced game. That said he's probably overpaid slightly for his production unless last season was his "break out". I'd imagine trying to trade for a 25 year old C is going to cost more than you'd want to pay for him too.

I guess my answer is if he came cheap I'd be open to it but don't see that happening

I think Z is good I just think you'll end up paying a contract running into his mid to late 30's that will be based on his production with Panarin rather than, say, Gallagher and Hoffman
