If I’m Kevyn Adams I would’ve moved Eichel for the best package of prospects and picks I could’ve got. Then I would’ve used the extra cap space to eat some money and add to my prospect and draft pick pool. Speed up the rebuild with the most young premium assets I could get. Dahlin and Power are two young stud D to build around. Move on already.

What GM out there would trade for damaged goods ? Adams couldn't trade an injured player, right ? Imagine the GM that trades for an injured star, and then the injury lingers and the player never laces up the skates again, or at the very least, his play is severely restricted. What would happen to that GM ? He would be FIRED.

The injury must be resolved, and then we can have trade conversations.

You face better teams this year. Much harder road to the playoffs than last year. Tough division and conference. Team just isn't good enough.

Go back and look at who they beat 1/2 of there wins last year were against NYI Boston Wash and Pitt so they have no problem matching up against playoff teams

I think if the deal was LaFrieniere, Schneider, and a 2022 1st, the deal would've happened already, but Drury is trying to trade a few nickels for a one hundred dollar bill, as he should be trying to do.

Unfortunately no team in the league will offer their best cost controlled prospect in the Eichel trade. That’s why the Ana, minny rangers and kings deal haven’t happened. I think if Eichel was healthy they would definitely include them. Most teams are probably offering their 2nd and 4th best prospect a 1st and and nhl player.
