Outside looking in I think it’s best to just trade him and move on. As a Sabres fan you guys won’t be happy with the return but at this point I think you just take the best deal available. I want nothing to do with him bc of the unknown with his injury but I’m not sure the Rangers see it the same way. If it’s true the Rangers are the only team left I don’t know what the return would look like but it won’t be something you guys are happy about. If you don’t trade him I think he just becomes a distraction and refuses to play. Just my opinion |

I think if the deal was LaFrieniere, Schneider, and a 2022 1st, the deal would've happened already, but Drury is trying to trade a few nickels for a one hundred dollar bill, as he should be trying to do.
On a cap dump from the Rangers, wouldn't that be Strome with his pending UFA status? - kingcong39
How can you possibly think an injured player that needs neck surgery, has made it known he wants out and has a $10 million cap hit be worth anything close to that?

Because we know what Eichel can do and because of things that have come out people are starting to wonder how bad the injury really is. But we as fans want the best for are team as you do for yours. |

And Adams should commit seppuku before he was able to be fired if he made that deal. - Wetbandit1
He’s not getting the same offer if he was healthy. One of the 5 or 6 teams would have offered it and the deal would be done. It’s just not happening |

Sorry, this just reeks of “here’s 4 nickels for a dollar, be happy I gave you anything because this dollar is used and has a ripped corner”
Which I’m sure is what Drury is offering, and also why he’s getting dial tones. |

And the reverse is also true. If Adam’s was willing to settle for the garbage Rangers fans spew, he’d also be gone. But you (royal you, Rangers fans) seem to miss this altogether |

Perhaps you should read a bit more and a bit further back, or don't and just continue to comment stupidly. |

Every single team is offering below market value bc of the injury. It won’t change. Just move him next year when he’s healthy but his nmc kicks in

Well that doesn't kick in until after the draft, so we still have plenty of time. |

Then you don’t trade him.

Most rangers fans aren’t offering garage it’s just not top level. Usually a notch below bc of the injury. |

And again if Adam’s was willing to, it would have already happened, probably to a team out west. Clearly that hasn’t happened either. But opposing teams fans just think “well then our team is being the reasonable ones, Adam’s is just being a douche”. Or he’s willing to let this thing go for the long haul so Buffalo gets what they need to eventually compete, instead of poop that probably won’t ever be an nhler, and if they are minimal impact ones, like Jones and a late first. |

Could Jack go rogue and get the surgery on his own? That likely voids his contract. Would that make him an UFA? |

The next step would be up to the team, and it would be ugly. It wouldn't void his deal, unless they wanted to. It would start with suspending him without pay until he was healthy. It's never going to happen.

One of our best moves in modern history. What a train wreck. Eichel getting close, for other reasons obviously |

Why doesn't buffalo just let him have the surgery. What does it matter now? |

wonder if and/or how an insurance company would/could be involved in a situation like this - Michael Pachla
There’s also an insurance payout on his salary from loyds of London. The policy doesn’t payout for exploratory medical procedures.
Thus a hang up nobody talks about.
Any team that trades for him would have to take out the same performance policy, if the insurance company would even issue one.
Way to go Kane. Validation of allegations in the peg and Buffalo have been made by Kane himself. Thomas vanadium went down this path.

Bringing in ek9 with a 18 year old eichel was not smart by tmgm. Bad influence on a young pro. |

Why should the team doctor decide what happens to Eichel?
If he wants a specific procedure to improve his health that should be his decision.
Not an Eichel fan, but can't believe any fans are siding with the team on this one. It's his health and future. - Nasty_Duck
$10 mil x 8 that’s why.
