Always the same on this thread. Their “insider” Gerbe said we would have to give up Sorokin, one of Dobson or Wahlstrom, and a 1st, to get Hall at the TDL. How’d that turn out?

if these guys had Adam Fox, and Fox was seeking a trade, they'd be after the same ridiculous packages they want now for Eichel
it wouldn't be any different

I love the “package can START with Adam Fox”
Because it should start with a 23 year old Norris winner and get bigger from there.
It’s goddamn hilarious at this point - jimbro83
Firstly, it’s one guy (maybe two) who thinks that’s not enough. Secondly, that’s a Rangers fan with the proposal. Value lies here: more then vatali “I can score over a .5 ppg in the MHL” kratzov and less then fox. Not fox and Laf I’m saying less then fox. |

I got one better for you. They would want more because they actually have a real body of work and a Norris to attach to it. |

Buddy I remember you going quite crazy when I suggested ROR for Hamilton. Called me crazy. ROR went on to do what he did. Dougie is dougie. Honestly it’s 2/3 guys that say dumb stuff like starts with fox, Laf, shest, and you guys dump the whole lot in. |

The rumors out there are that everyone is out on Eichel except the Rangers. I really wish the Rangers would back out also and let you guys watch your disgruntled star continue to be on pace for an 8 goal season. - nyrangers9479

You’re right, my mistake. He was on pace for 7.8 goals over an 82 game season. |

Really the question is what would the Sabres INCLUDE WITH Eichel to acquire a Norris trophy winner - jimbro83
So the Rangers are in discussions to propose a trade where they receive a worse player in the transaction? |

Who turned down Calgary and Carolina already to ensure he plays in NYC. The Sabres also have Dahlin and Power, this trade is bad for the player and both organizations.
Laf, one of the worst rookie seasons for a number 1 OA.
A second rounder year unknown - value is minimal in a deal like this and lazy with no conditions.
As for what else has been offered? This is a blog comment section, filled by trolls and complainers. Fans who are tired of reading silly headlines will accept these petty trade offers, no way Adams retains salary let alone makes a deal of this low caliber.
The Sabres already got a 1st from 55 and 23. Why would you accept less for a player who is miles better than both combined? - washedup20
Sabres couldn't flip the return for both risto and sam :
For laferierre, let alone fox a 1st and laferierre. |

Hint:
When you find yourself in a hole, stop digging.
Try finding g out the plethora of injuries Jack was playing with during his first 17 games of the season.
Fractured Rib...impacted his shootig, skating , passing and taking/winning face-off rather dramtically.
Sprained ankle...impacted his skating.
Hurt his hand...impacted shooting g and playmaking.
But go on. |

Again, get him healthy, LTIR, Prove the health and trade him next offseason.
That’s the only way to not get ROR’d.
Zero reason to trade him for crap. Let him sit. - Gr8daygo
IR. LTIR makes no sense for the Sabres this season.

Eichel needs (frank)ing spine surgery. He’s damaged goods. - rangerdanger94
If he is "damaged goods" why would you want him? Right now nobody knows how Jack Eichel is going to come out after whatever kind of medical procedure he is going to have. Will he be the "top 10 forward or top 5 center in the NHL" like he was in the 19/20 season or the dumpster fire he was last season? It seems you are betting he will be the player from the 19/20 season but wanting to pay like he is going to be the player from the 20/21 season, lol. I get it, but as it seems right now, the Sabres aren't going to sell that way. Unless something drastically changes and the Sabres find out that Eichel definitely won't be the player he was before the injury, the Rangers or any other team won't get him on the cheap. |

Except no free agent in their right mind wants to play here as it is. And free agents and their agents are watching how KA is handling this and its not going to help in landing anyone that isn't desperate to stay in the league and willing to take a 1 year deal worth $750K a year. Also other GM's who have worked with KA on this are publicly venting that its being handled poorly.
Make no mistake. We are on par with the management of Arizona and other irrelevant teams at this point. |

Eichel has shown that he is nothing but a big baby, fully undeserving of being captain. This is a lesson for all future teams who make a young player captain that has yet to show any leadership qualities.
Eichel did not play well the prior year and certainly came to camp unable to perform and already injured (the where snd how on that remains a mystery - maybe some off ce motocross activity???) because he could not even get a proper shot on goal and he certainly never jelled with Hall.
As for his agents, he certainly chose bad ones and would be better off firing them now and if he wants to be a Bruin, hire a fine statesman and hockey ambassador and role model on leadership like Bobby Orr as his agent to help show him how to act and get him out of this mess that his agents guided him into.
Let’s not forget the season the sabres we’re having before he got “injured” and stopped playing - he did nothing to inspire his teammates or show the leadership of a true captain. He was nowhere near the team!
Let him sit. Sure his no movement clause kicks in next year. So what!!!!
Sabres are going nowhere with him or without him, so too bad Jack, collect your money on injured reserve or go get tour choice of surgery and breach your contract and collect nothing. But let’s be clear here, “Sabres will trade you, if and when they ever want to, now, a year from now or never and you will go wherever because you will want to play and make tour next $100 million.
Until then you and your agents might just want to shut up and play nice behind close doors because if you don’t get paid, they won’t get paid…..and if you have any brains or leadership you will fire them and hire someone like Orr if you ever want to be a Bruin or even ever play hockey again!!!” |
