I am a Ra-chester
My GF is from the area and they pronounce it more like
Ra-chess-ter
It's a subtle distinction but one that exists nevertheless - Hank Balling
I used to call it ra-cha-cha
The thing that bugged me the most though was ree-see's pee-sees rather than Re-sus Pe-sus |

They each want different surgeries. Given no teams are jumping forward with KA’s asks tells me they’re not comfortable with the risk.
That’s just my read. - gcomella34
I think Eichel ask for different surgery is to create an unagreeable conflict to force a trade. I dont think the injury is as bad as suggested, and the sabres know that he will be almost 100% after surgery. I also believe that GMKA is fully aware of Jack's worth after the surgery and is willing to wait.
GMKA stood up at a presser (during weekday working hours) and gave a statement. Jack's agents responded at 11:45 Friday night.
Which do you give more legitimacy?
Jack and his team are scumbags. They could have demanded a trade behind the scenes instead of being a female dog in public. They could have been professional about it - after all - the Sabres gave him one of the biggest contracts ever in the NHL for a guy that hadnt made the playoffs, maybe the highest for a guy not making the playoffs...

I understand the business side of things from Terry (asking high, expecting somewhere in the middle). But we should really take a step back and ask, why are we funding venues for billionaires who are the only ones that see the profit?
I get that they can hold there county and the city by the cahones and threaten to move the team but it’s really a terrible precedent
If you want professional teams in your city, they come with prices. |

Jacks agent is doing him no favors. It just reeks of desperation. |

This comment is so on point. So hope he gets absolutely booed so bad when he steps on the ice in or out of a Sabres uniform. |

Yup, I said this on Friday or Saturday morning after I read the statement.
It's his last ditch effort which is only making things worse. Nothing worse when you're bluffing and then doubling down knowing you're beat.

Well I think you guys are also being a little dramatic at some the packages that are being offered. They aren't what Eichel is truly worth when 100% healthy, but they also aren't absolute dogpoop. - rangerdanger94
Kratzov hasn't scored over a .5 ppg in any league over the MHL. He is considered an "untouchable" by half of the NYR fanbase. I can't remember if you specifically said so or not. If you didn't know what the MHL was without looking it up, you are not alone. That is why you are getting a cantankerous reception here. Don't go the complete other way and offer fox and Laf. Cuz that's also dumb. You say injury and disgruntled bring down price. Ok, not to Kratzov's level as the main piece. Keeping him in the East raises that price a little as well. Or we could just admit that NYR probably isn't going to trade for him. |

Jack's doctor was pretty clear that he wouldn't clear Jack to play right now without one of the two procedures being done. Doctor sounded pretty credible to me in the podcast.
Mind you, I've probably been the most Anti Jack poster on these boards over the last 5 years. A man has a right to make an informed decision about his own body, and it's clear Jack and his family and his team of doctors have made an informed decision. |

But Jack is out there playing pick up hockey?
I mean it is different than an actual NHL game, but a trip into the boards can cause a lot of damage

I absolutely agree with that however that does not violate his human right to make an informed decision about his own health |

The issue is the players bargained away that right and gave it to the team for things like guaranteed contracts. |

This needs to stop
It is in the CBA, it is in his contract which he knowingly signed.
There is no basic human rights violation.
He has his right to a second opinion, he went that route. He can file for medical arbitration, but hasn't done so.

I just cannot believe any team of people would put up the pretense of such a serious injury if it weren't absolutely true. If Jack eichel suddenly doesn't need one of the two surgeries after his trade from Buffalo his reputation his agents reputation his doctors reputation not to mention his medical license would all suffer irreparable damage in my opinion. |

Here's the thing about human rights, they can't be bargained away whether your name is on a piece of paper or not. I'm not disputing the Buffalo Sabres legal position, I'm saying jack eichel is not going to have a surgery he doesn't want and he can't be forced into it. He's going to have the medical procedure he wants at some point and the Sabres have no way to prevent it |
