For some perspective - I believe that the numbers Kravtsov has put up in the KHL at his age are only rivaled by Tarasenko, Kuznetsov, and Kaprisov when they were playing in the KHL at the same age.
Also, the trade offer is Kravstov for Eichel straight up.
Kravstov is one piece of a 4 or 5 item package, which could include one-two 1st round picks, as well as two NHL ready young players who have good ceilings. - rangerdanger94
Yeah, I doubt that a 20 year old scoring 21 points in 50 games is being rivaled by those guys.. For example...
Tarasenko was over .5 ppg as a 19 year old, and as a 20 year old a full ppg
Kuznetsov was a .66 ppg player at a young 20, and ppg player at a young 21
Kaprisov was a .5 ppg at 18, and a near ppg at 19.
So, in summation, no Kravtsov hasn't come close to them, hasn't shown it in the A or the NHL either.
And I'm well aware he wasn't the only piece. He was the headliner in most. A late first is ok, nothing to write home about. Jones is garbage. and Georgiev requested a trade, so by your own logic his value, which is no more than a mid second and that's pushing it, has decreased. So yeah, underwhelming is a nice way to put that.

So, tell me why that hasnt happened yet? Why isnt he getting "his surgery of choice"?
HE signed his right to make this decision away, and there are legal ramifications that obviously he cannot afford. - atlsabsfan
I agree. He risks losing 50M. He won't do it. Doesn't mean he can't though. |

It would be interesting if Eichel decides unilaterally to do the surgery and dares the Sabres to void his contract.
I mean they can't physically restrain him from entering the hospital |

Wasn't that the story on the mysterious concussion, that he tripped in the bathroom and donked his ol' noggin on the poop chair? |

I believe the specific stat was that Kravtsov's 15 career playoff points are the fourth-most by a KHL player while in his U22 season or younger in league history, trailing only Kirill Kaprizov, Evgeny Kuznetsov, and Vladimir Tarasenko.
I admit the package is rather underwhelming, but hey, we're armchair GMs that are negotiating a hypothetical deal. I'm sure we can meet in the middle |

I am pretty sure if he does that he voids his contract, but the Sabres retain his rights for the length he originally signed for

That was my point. He's a grown man, can sign to get an elective surgery if he wants. Think KA has some balls? That would be a huge F you, do something about it move. |

They void the contract
He still remains Sabres property for the 5 yrs.
Would you risk losing $50 mil and 5 yrs during the prime of your career? |

Or, hear me out, surgery is a success, he can then get traded if teams see this, and Buf gets closer to value. Everyone wins. Except if they all lose. |
