Yea, nobody actually said that.
Basically nobody can understand how the NHLPA allowed the wording in the CBA to let teams have controls over players injuries.
I'm on board with Eichel getting surgery, let him have it.
The Sabres have completely botched this IMO, I understand Eichels frustration.
The SAbres refusing medical records is insane.
Convenient that the interview basically put Eichels records out there. - ImThatGuy
Is that you Jeremy? |

jeremy white was the flag-bearer for the mceichel tank...even bought a cam atkinson blue jackets jersey in honor of the columbus forward whose goal clinched last place for the sabres...a pegula tool to the utmost |

Teams know exactly what's wrong with him, they know exactly what surgery he wants.
He's had numerous other injuries and releasing those to any team who isn't willing to move forward is a detriment to the team and to Jack. Targeting exists. |

Only thing I can think of that they updated in the arena was the team dressing room and drink shelves above the urinals. |

I don't understand how it became the norm for stadiums to be publicly funded. But at the same time, the Sabres and Bills are just tenants of these buildings.
Granted it is at a much higher price point, but if you rent a house and it needs major updates wouldn't you want your landlord to pay for them to fixed and if they don't you'd move?
I know it's apples to oranges here but I understand it (I don't like it but I get it). - Stripes77
Sure, but at the same time if I'm a tenant I don't get to dictate what those updates are. |

that precedent wasn't set by the pegulas...
especially in Buffalo they hold all the cards and the city knows they can't let them leave. - SabresFaninIndiana
You’re right, poor wording on my part. “The established process” is more appropriate |

let's be honest, everyone wanted to tank here.
Aside from that, he's become (to me) an annoying listen. |

Here. On this board.
There was of course a large contingent of folks that wanted nothing to do with the tank. I still think it was the right thing to do for this team at that time.
Fortunately, this year won't be like that year. Yes the team is lacking the talent to win but they're not going to ship off every veteran that helps them win. I'd much rather develop guys and lose along the way than just flat out suck ass and cheer when we lose. |

The guy that everyone in the media says is a hack and an embarrassment to the profession?
We shouldn't value him him, regardless of his stance. |

i thought he didn't, but really couldn't remember...but to the point, that's how forceful jeremy white was in backing the tank |

I thought you were being sarcastic. No, he was vehemently against it. But he's a clown anyway, and his peers think so as well.

99% of the fanbase was for it.
The Leafs tanked.
The Penguins tanked
The Caps tanked
The Colts Tanked
The Dolphins tried to tank and failed because of Fitz.
etc
etc
etc
I can go though all teams who were purposely bad yet none of them have had the luck of buffalo, mainly due to incompetence at the top.

for as much as i hated some of his work, mainly because i always thought he had a hidden agenda, he and the buffalo news took a stand against pegula...during those early meetings when pegula bought the team, word has it that he wanted the media on board with him, wanted them to lean a little toward a public relations stance...wgr went all in, tbn balked and there's always been animosity between pegula and the news because of it...
in hindsight, for as much as i hate to admit it, tbn seems to be in the right |

i think Harrington has actually blocked about 70% of Sabres fans on twitter lol, even more than Paul "you said a bad word" Hamilton . He loves his hot takes and throwing shots but cant take any return fire. Its annoying that they constantly put HArrington on Sirius NHL radio as the Sabres guru. He's just Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino shouting Get Off My Lawn!
i have to admit, this Sabres bleepshow is strangely entertaining. Maybe im a masochist. Its amazing that every time you think the Sabres have hit rock bottom.... they pull the old, HOLD MY BEER. |

Dude that's what was said.
I listened the whole thing was not understanding how the Players Association allowed that to be in their CBA. The players signed off on it, that was what was said not only by White, but Paul Hamilton |
|
|

My first response was we could trade him next year to a team that needs to get to cap floor
Holy hell
We're that team - Anderdog
Yup. Might as well make peace with it. Barring retirement he's playing here for two years |

Kyle was a terrific player for the Isles. I think you have to hold the Sabres accountable because obviously Islanders knew something about Kyle’s medical history because they just let him walk and never offered him even a low ball deal. There were a lot of rumblings on Long Island that he was damaged goods and Garth Snow knew that. Obviously speculating that may be the Sabres just simply didn’t do their due diligence with his medical history |

I did what little digging into his injury that I could. No reported concussions with the isles or before according to any injury site I primarily relied on. That's not to say there weren't any but I couldn't find it |

I mean to me that's more of a human right kind of thing if you asked me.
But to play devils advocate, the Sabres have the final say based on the contract.
