The flight has been changed a few times already. But just departure times. Thankfully Orlando to Buffalo is a pretty frequent flight so I think I should be good. - Stripes77
As I travel for work a lot, I only fly Delta right now.
They furloughed the least, I believe, through the Pandemic.
American is having a huge problem with bringing pilots, mechanics, and crew back. They have to train first so capacity is down.

When I fly back to Buffalo I usually fly Southwest. Especially when I have the entire family with me. So far so good with them...fingers crossed, I haven't flown since Covid though.

I flew a few times during COVID. It’s pretty much back to normal now. You just need to wear a mask.

Other than than, pretty normal. - gcomella34
I’m hoping for smooth travels. It’s an early flight out of Orlando on a Friday morning. It will be hit or miss. But I’m going solo so that doesn’t bother me.

My parents moved to Jacksonville. I am going down for the Bills-Jags game. Originally booked a flight through Chicago-Midway Friday afternoon. Got the "flight has been rebooked" email about a week ago. Said my flight out of Buffalo was a half hour earlier. Checked my Southwest app over the weekend, and it said I was only flying out of Chicago. The Buffalo part was completely gone. Called and now I am flying through Baltimore instead. Their scheduling has been messed up.

Be careful down there, wear a mask - even if you're vaccinated, and try to social distance ! If I'm reading this thing I found online correctly, almost 16,000 Covid-19 cases per day in Florida ? That's insane.

Oh Sh!t!! Shut it all down, except for Amazon, Walmart, Target, Costco, Home Depot, Lowe’s, UPS, FedEx and every other Corporate business that was allowed to stay open. Oh ya can’t forget the liquor stores and pot shops.

I'll probably cancel if it gets alot worse. I appreciate the concern. Not worth it over a football game. ☝️

Where exactly did he say any such thing?
Don't bring bullpoop politics into it.
FL is getting absolutely hammered right now, they currently have the most hospitalized people than at any point in the pandemic. Hopefully deaths don't rise to meet it with the vast majority of the most vulnerable vaccinated, but they're starting to creep up too.

It’s the best really. Especially with kids. But solo is nice too because I have been known to sleep very well on planes. - Stripes77
I wish. I can get little 10-15 minute increments. Overnight flights to France and Italy in the past and I was exhausted the next day because I was up all night. So jealous of those that can do it.

My wife and I have had a long conversation about this. At first she sided with Jack. But then after listening to the podcast, watching the other video from a different doctors perspective, and knowing who the Sabres doctors are she is siding with the Sabres on this.
If Jack wasn’t an athlete the disc replacement is the way to go. I fully believe that. However, the impact a hockey player takes, the contract, etc I side with the Sabres.
There’s a reason this hasn’t gone to medical arbitration. No doctor is going to go against the surgeon who basically mainstreamed this type of surgery. If he says no, it’s because he believes the risks far outweigh the benefits for a professional athlete.
There’s no way the team would want to put said player on the ice if their doctor is against this surgery due to the major risks that are involved in this.
Say he has the surgery, everything is fine and then he gets absolutely blown up and is paralyzed, the team would be attacked left and right in the eyes of the fans. Even if it is because Jack insisted on this surgery. - Stripes77
Good post.
Doesn't change my mind, but good perspective.
I don't think Jack is uninformed on this, and if he is that insistent on having that surgery I would stand behind him making what he believes is best for him, given disagreement in the medical community.
The Sabres are only interested in protecting $50m asset on their books. They have the premiere Dr on their side, but we don't know where he really stands...i.e. between the two is he 60/40, 90/10?
He is protecting the player AND the club, which adds another layer of complexity to his opinion. ... Jack is looking out for himself only.
Interesting debate, I still side with Jack...but hate his method he and his Agents have employed.

We fly Southwest as well,
Flight in April of '21...Tampa to Miami to Mexico...they cancelled the 1st leg, I had to drive from Tampa to Miami to get the 2nd leg....they couldn't rebook for 5 days...left me no option but to drive.
Flight last week, Sarasota to Rochester; cancelled and rebooked for the next date.

OIA is always a nightmare when I go there. Does Jet Blue not do direct flights there anymore? that is who I used to fly with when going home.
