this kind of comment is exactly why I hope Drouin does play elsewhere, although I do wish at the same time he stays since his skills would be a nice compliment to quite a few players on the roster

He's been over rated ever since he came into the league.

It's unfortunate because he has the raw talent but he's too inconsistent and the desire to win (grit) is just not there. You don't win championships with guys like that. The Bolts probably came to the same conclusion and proceded to trade him.

I don't hate the guy and I hope he does well eventually (elsewhere) ... but he's occupying valuable cap space. We just don't need him and he has already been replaced in the lineup.

I'm not saying you can't criticize the guy, as he's obviously been inconsistent, but I doubt you know him personally or that you have privileged info on what his situation was exactly, so the "he's lazy/lacks character/has no desire" thing is complete BS, with all due respect.

The problem with Drouin is he has not faced much adversity everything was pretty much given to him, good talent but work ethic is not there

They obviously won't say anything in the media but I'd be curious to know what his teammates really think of him ... he's making more money than most of them and he didn't go to war (and the grind) like they did in the playoffs.

What do you think the guys would think of the coach if he decided to put Drouin in the top 6 (or the PP) at this point? If I was Ducharme, I would want him gone ASAP.

They got Hoffman for a reason ... Drouin will be gone by Christmas at the latest IMO.
