The addition of Palmieri and retaining what we already have along with Wahlstrom playing a full time role should be impactful enough to not need Tarasenko. So yeah agreed would rather not give up what it may take to get him. We NEED a top 4 D more so then another scorer unless we’re losing a fwd. It’s becoming more obvious that Beau’s name is absent as far as potential already signed players. Not sure if there’s anything to that being nothing leaks out as far as Lameriello and what he’s doing but it’s noticeable…

As far as Beau goes it could be nothing. We never hear anything legit coming from the islanders with lameriello as GM but like I said he’s noticeably absent from any signing rumors. Who knows.

I'm just hoping that with the rumors of Zajac re-signing, they don't trade Wally or keep him in the AHL. As it's been stated previously, that would be stupid to sit him or send him down. The signing of Palms, Zeeker & Sorokin Make sense. We'll see what happens with Pelech's Arbitration. Unless we're trading/giving away Leo, then signing Parise & Zajac doesn't make much sense to me even as depth unless Lou plans on trading or not signing Beau.

I don't know. Just another team homer (like us) that wants what's best for his team. At least he wants his team to improve. Dumping Tank's salary for younger guys like Beau and Wilde helps their cap position. I'd love to have Tank and his goal scoring ability, which this team needs, but not at the expense of the future. Beau is a good kid that plays hard every night. He doesn't light up the score sheet, but he brings intangibles. If he had to be moved to improve the team, so be it.
But if Palms takes over for Ebs production, then that's pretty much even. Wally would score more than Leo. Lee coming back should be about 30 goals, which might be that necessary scoring we need to get over the hump.

I would like to believe Zajac won’t be starting over Wahlstrom but who knows. I didn’t agree with him being in the lineup after the Boston series and he was a no show for two games in Boston and the entire Tampa series so who knows. Zajac should be a league minimum depth signing to perhaps create some competition in the lineup. Anything else to me is a waste of cap space and a roster spot. With all of this said I’m sure he could’ve got more money elsewhere so him being signed and the after effects are most likely going to piss a lot a people off myself included.

Only way Zajac plays is when someone is hurt that is it. Islanders pp cost them game 7 a shorthanded goal. Wahlstrom is going to break out this season.
