Maybe some need to treat the team they love and cheer for like a child , nothing good comes from constant belittling, and negative thoughts.
Try being positive and having a little faith mixed with a dash of hope , believe it can happen instead of only thinking of what can go wrong.

I've been treating the Canucks like a child for the last 3 seasons they're just background noise that you only pay attention to when they start screaming.
So in reading the link I lean towards a bridge for EP & a mid length term for Hughes. Hoping that it comes in at say 6/6m or close our old fave lol. Now some might say he’ll want more for those UFA years & I counter he is 1 dimensional. If he cedes to that offer he still can cash in on his 3rd contract. In the end ELC’s will be ever more important & need to impact. Currently the core is pretty solid & prospects are more likely to be bottom 6 unless they perform above projections. If they outperform then the depth is increased & we are maybe in contender mode. If that is fortunate to be the case we have a problem & it’s a good one. It still would be a massive cap challenge.
Is it time for a way too early prediction on the Pacific Division standings?
Many pundits have the Canucks 1st. And by pundits I mean the Twitterverse. - 1970vintage
I have seen a few betting sites (even as of Sat/Sun) that have Vegas, Edmonton, Seattle and Calgary all finishing better than the Canucks.
I don’t gamble but it surprises me that Seattle is deemed better, Calgary should be equal, Edmonton should be better with the 2 superstars, but only in the regular season. Vegas should be #1 IMO, but I like the Canucks to be 3rd in the division.

That sounds very reasonable or at worst 4th & in the playoffs.
OEL, Garland, Podkolzin, Richardinson, Schenn, Halak is a nice upgrade on Schmidt, Edler, Beagle, Roussel, Holtby.
Shaw added to the coaching staff, Pettersson hopefully healthy, no covid running through the team. Faster overall, better offense, better defense. - Nucker101
Heh heh I’m the one who pumps the tires around here 😂

Just saw some quotes from an article Zadarov did in a Russian interview.
Mackinnon has a dietogistics he pays 50K a year. Live in doctor pays a grand a day and rents him an apartment. 100K a year to his own chef.
Only drinks water, doesn't eat dessert.
Acts like Michael Jordan, can be a jerk to his teammates. "You need to accept that and it would improve you as a result, if you can't accept it, you're off the team"

How did you manage to ignore the re-signing of a healthy Hamonic and the free agent acquisition of defensively responsible Tucker Poolman?

Such a crock. Right now there are seven teams over the cap and 6 teams with less than 5 mil in cap space and the offseason has just begun. Basically half the league is walking on a tight rope with their cap . I bet when the season starts every one of those teams will have adjusted things and fit under the cap.
Canucks moved close to 20 mil in cap this offseason and upgraded at the same time. Look at Vegas TB and NYI three top teams in the league maneuver money and still be competitive.

Yeah, I don’t think Seattle is a playoff team. So far the GM has been sub par, Inthink their coaching will be average, the players are average, their goalie was propped up by the best team in the league (regular season).
I still think Vegas is the team to beat, and Edmonton will be good. Calgary=Vancouver, the team I’m curious about is LA. If they get goaltending they could be top 3.

We are fully engulfed in the fourth wave son. 600k new cases yesterday, the world just broke 200million. 100k in the US alone. Let’s not take anything off the table just yet…
