Domi doesn't seem like a good chemistry type.....and he gets really, really lazy for far too long of stretches, and that is just bad for an example for all. For me, Domi is an easy pass. - Frozendisc
I didn't find Domi lazy at all, and he put up at least decent to excellent point totals when he was here. Hard disagree on the lazy part.
Other than he's out until December, I think it makes alot of sense. 1 year, 5.3 million, Colombus wants him out so he won't be too pricey and I think he'll bring more offense than Danault. Only thing that'd put me off is if he had dressing room issues before he left here. - apex123
Big no for me, I really liked him in his first season in MTL and he was great with the fans, but unfortunately he didn’t seem to fit in in the locker room. In this day and age when a player gets traded and not a single one of his former teammates makes a post saying good luck we’ll miss u etc, etc, it tends to indicate they werent all that popular. We tried it once and it didn’t work, beed to look elsewhere

5.3M in cap space being used for Domi instead of another player is already very pricey (and that's not even considering he's out until December)
A big hell no on Domi for me. I’d absolutely rather take whatever lumps from KK as our 2C next season than have Domi back. Let KK play with a couple solid wingers. Let’s see what he can do centring two of Toffoli, Anderson, Hoffman, Gallagher.

That's very fair, and I don't use twitter so didn't know that side of it. If that is the case I did say locker room issues are the one big thing that'd make me stay away. As a player though, he had more upside than Danault ever did and more than Dvorak would. Too bad he's like Subban in the room.
I completely agree with what you said before in that we need a PMD more. KK at least has the potential to fill the center role adequately, but who replaces and improves upon what Weber brought? It's sure as hell not Savard. Nobody even has the potential to be what we need on D.

He was terrible in his own zone and at faceoffs, not a great playmaker either but I agree he's not lazy at all, just individualistic and not always working right on the ice but he's dynamic.

Don't get how he could have a 72 pts season....looks like a fluke, I don't see him ever reaching anywhere near those numbers.
it would be great for Max to return to Montreal. Then everyone here can put the pic of Max dressed up like the Joker as their lockscreen backgrounds again.

Shooting% and total shots tend to tell all in outlier seasons. Without checking I'm pretty sure he had way more shots and about a 4% higher shooting percentage than his career averages.

I truly can't believe it even was discussed last night. This is how people get back with their ex gf who burned all their clothes...they bought new clothes, forget what happened to their old clothes and say to themselves "she was a bit crazy but she's probably passed that and damn...that one time she (frank)ed sooo good. I'm going for it "

Lol I know some will hate this idea, but I think reacquring Domi for the 2C postion would make sense. He'll be here just long enough to insulate KK, and I think he'll do good here again. - apex123

In one of the few premier events that actually matter. Unlike 99% of Olympic events, this is kind of a big deal - Takemedrunkimhome
There's too many medals in swimming man, should just be the fastest across the pool. I didn't see de Grasse win a medal for running the 100m backwards and shuffle steps

Winter Olympics is worse for garbage events but in sprinting...every person on the face of the earth has at one point ran and knows if they're fast or not, so men's 100m is the top event, followed by men's 200m. Most other events are pulling competition from a significantly more shallow pool. It's like comparing soccer and hockey but with even greater disparity. This is the biggest non hockey medal Canada has won since Bailey in 96
