There's too many medals in swimming man, should just be the fastest across the pool. I didn't see de Grasse win a medal for running the 100m backwards and shuffle steps - Fredobbface

Winter Olympics is worse for garbage events but in sprinting...every person on the face of the earth has at one point ran and knows if they're fast or not, so men's 100m is the top event, followed by men's 200m. Most other events are pulling competition from a significantly more shallow pool. It's like comparing soccer and hockey but with even greater disparity. This is the biggest non hockey medal Canada has won since Bailey in 96 - Takemedrunkimhome
Oh yeah, love the biathlon + ski long jump - Fredobbface
"Some of the events in the Olympics don't make sense to me. I don't understand the connection to any reality... Like in the Winter Olympics they have that biathlon that combines cross-country skiing with shooting a gun. How many alpine snipers are into this? Ski, shoot a gun... ski, bang, bang, bang... It's like combining swimming and strangling a guy. Why don't we have that? That makes absolutely as much sense to me. Just put people in the pool at the end of each lane for the swimmers."
I truly can't believe it even was discussed last night. This is how people get back with their ex gf who burned all their clothes...they bought new clothes, forget what happened to their old clothes and say to themselves "she was a bit crazy but she's probably passed that and damn...that one time she (frank)ed sooo good. I'm going for it " - Takemedrunkimhome
I don't know how you manage such bad memories of a player who manged 72 points with the Habs. Even ignoring that season as a "fluke" most of his totals are 40-50 points with bad teams which is still second line center totals. His defensive play certainly isn't good, but he'd be pretty cheap to get.
Ultimately I agree he's not a good option as he didn't get along with the locker room, but you're reacting like I was suggesting we reacquire David Desharnais. Now that would be an option to warrant that reaction.

again, don't you find a 5.3M cap hit that could be used on a more useful/reliable player is anything but cheap?

I don't have bad memories of Domi, nor do I wish any ill upon him. When he left I simply said thanks for your time and that I appreciated that he seemed to enjoy being a Hab. That said, how can you question my not wanting him back on the team and then state the above bolded? I've been direct and consistent with a few jokes in between, your two paragraphs in this one comment alone are practically bipolar
