Getting rid of Alex N is a huge mistake that Canes will regret for the next 10 years.

I severely doubt it. A 25 year old with a career .905 save percentage in the AHL?

Like I like the guy. He's confidant. But his NHL numbers this year are WAY beyond anything he's ever posted anywhere else in his career. It's probably a mirage.

Mrazek posted a .923 Save Percentage this year. Is he a .923 goalie? Of course not.

giving away nejel for nothing makes no sense. It's like a Hall for Larsson situation.

It's like a Rask for Raycroft situation.

It's literally nothing like either of those things.

It's similar to uh... Viktor Fasth I guess?

You should always value the opinions from those that have never watched someone play before.

lol

I like Ned. He has the attitude to make it work and is a good bet for Yzerman because the Wings aren't competing this year. But if you're trying to win the cup, you probably don't want to roll the dice on a guy with a track record like his.

Yeah it’s low risk high reward potential for Yzerman. Just gotta love the guys that act like he’s a lock to compete for the Vezina for the next 10 years.

Anderson and Raanta will be just fine behind the Canes' D and back-checking forwards. Ned wanted paid for one good, yet condensed sample size and playoff run. Like Petr, the weak goals he let in were back breakers. The playoff game where Petr let in 6, with a short-lived 2 goal lead was all I needed to see. He seemed so out of position and should've been yacked by Rod. This is my only gripe with coach RBM, sometimes loyalty needs to be put on pause, if you can see your tender is struggling.

Losing Hamilton is where it really hurts, although never a great playoff performer, you just can't let an elite D-man walk. Owner should've offered 8-9 M for a shorter term and signing/performance bonuses.

The Canes' will be fine next year, just not as deep and better start re-stocking the D and goalie cupboards. Just my 2 1/2 cents.

He’s just the next goalie to get blamed for another first round exit.
