NJ should NOT be ultra aggressive trying to trade for Tarasenko. I love what Fitz has done so far this offseason, but trading Sharangovich and/or Kuokkanen plus picks would be a MASSIVE f--- up!!!

All three teams should no better than to sign Tarasenko but I do think the Rangers new GM Is dumb enough to do It.

They aren't trading Sharangovich or Kuokkanen or Tarasenko. Theres zero chance that happens. Some rando bleacher report writer speculated those names with zero information/rumors backing it up.

If they take on the full cap hit, it'll likely be something like Boqvist or Johnsson and a pick as the absolute max the Devils give up if it happens

That's not being "ultra aggressive", but I can live with giving up either of these two, preferably Johnsson. I don't have any faith that he didn't just play on a really good line in Toronto.

If the Oilers don't upgrade their goaltending, I could see them looking at Tarasenko as a plan B. Tarasenko could also be a plan B if the Flyers can't get a deal for Sanheim.

Thats because they arent being ultra aggressive. Fitz has said multiple times that while he wants to add a top 6 winger, he's not going to chase/force it.

From all reports, he has an offer in for Tarasenko, and he is going to stand pat and won't increase it. If Sharangovich/Kuokkanen were on the table, it'd be a done deal already

Sure, except his health is a major ?. And according to Friedman teams don't like what the medicals have shown. With the position the Devils are in they aren't giving up a 23 year old middle 6 player for a guy coming off multiple botched shoulder surgeries when his best attribute is shooting. He's a worthwhile gamble for the Devils, but not for a yeezy or kuoks. Neither of them are even rumored to be in the discussions.

The Islanders can have him!!!!! Why would the Rangers trade Buch to turn around on option B to take Tarasenko!!! WTF???? There was no need to break up the Rangers the way they did it. First with Jeff and JD and now Butch and possible Strome. We never needed Eichel who has a serious neck injury or a another 10M cap hit!!! There are plenty of other centers to be had without all that baggage, cap hit issues or giving away the talent we have aquired! We already have a number 1 and 2 center who are great and play well with their lines. If they wanted an upgrade from Chytil which I don't think we do let the kid learn and play and stop rushing him go after Dylan Larkin at a 6M cap hit for two more seasons would be a great third line center for us and he is good on faceoffs!!!! Larkin could be had for a late first round pick or third with a prospect, not 3 good for blue chip pospects and a first round pick!!!!!! I also don't get anyone who doesn't want Reaves on our team are you just NUTS!!!!!!!
