There's no ambiguity. I'm saying he's ultimately not a good option because he didn't get along with the locker room, but as a player I don't see why everyone thinks he sucks.

It's the eyes, clearly you don't see what everyone else did. When he's not scoring at an unsustainable pace he's a net negative player - they just brought in Hoffman who is a similar in that sense, he just scores more consistently than Domi.
Domi was moved out for a reason. Subban was moved out for a reason. Wanting them back when neither would make any real difference in winning anything meaningful and would eat up more cap space than they're worth while ignoring the locker room issues from their first stint with the team is...I can't find a nice word for it so I'll just say a poor team building strategy |

really? I thought he was praised for it... I recall liking it but perhaps the critics didn't agree

I certainly saw the net negatives with Galchenyuk, Drouin, (and Subban's defensive lapses are very obvious) and I get where you're coming from, but even if I'm going against the grain, I disagree that Domi wouldn't be a good fit in a 2nd line center role. I don't think he's half as soft as Drouin or Galchenuk and I think his defensive deficiencies would be masked given how good our wingers are and ignoring his outlier season he's still a 40-50 point player on garbage teams.
That said we both agree this is a moot point because of the dressing room issues. I hadn't noticed how disliked he seemed to be in the habs room when I first mentioned this. |

Why are we all so anxious to trade players and/or prospects for random player x, when (at least at center) there are still viable options out there, like Bozak? He's as good in the dot as Dvorak, with a better style more befitting our current team. Sign him cheap for a year or two, and (in no order) you're looking at Suzuki, Bozak, KK, and Evans down the middle. Provides experience for the kids, gives Poehling a chance to continue upping his game in the AHL. He also replaces some of that Stanley Cup winning experience we're lacking now that Perry signed elsewhere.
Seriously, if we can get him on a reasonable contact? Where's the downside? |

I have the feeling Bergevin will add a depth thirty something center from here on to training camp.
...but yeah, I don't expect him to make a big trade for a center. |
