Yeah, well we all are getting bombarded by liberal and conservative politics all day long. That’s why I come on here to talk about what really matters. HOCKEY!

SO I love hockey and daily I am looking up NHL news. I had heard of a scandal in Chicago but imagined it had something to do with a player and a female not giving consent. Absolutely (frank)ed this is not front-page news. II am not a Dangle fan but this is worth the listen.

Yeah, this occurred in 2010 and the Blackhawks covered it up. Amazingly, the team video coach who did the abuse and was fired, later got a job at a Michigan high school after a recommendation from the Hawks, ended up abusing a minor at the school. The Hawks got sued. |

Yeah definitely will....but drafting and developing isn't working. Either get Eichel or blow this female dog to smithereens - The-O-G
Totally agree. Treliving is desperate to save his job. Something big has to happen. |

Thanks John, good work!
If Backlund becomes 2C, Bacthat's a very good, fast, 2-way forwards line. Our season should be better, maybe make the playoffs. The Heat are going to have a great team. Our prospect pool is starting to look good. The 2022 draft is excellent, we need more picks! I'm finally okay with Eichel, but the window is closing, I'm sure Treliving realizes the risk and cost are very high. - drogon
Backlund isn’t a 2nd line center anymore. If he’s playing top 6 this team is still
In big trouble. |

I think the ownership in Calgary meddles too much. They never want to rebuild. Always retool. And it holds the team back. |

Well new building ready in 3-4 years, cost over runs ownership have to eat, maybe time to sell & get as much as possible for Gaudreau, Tkachuk, Monahan & time to have new fresh high end young players to start the new building era. Seems they all want to play elsewhere. |

The big question is whether Blake Coleman is a 3rd line forward, or just stuck there because Tampa was so deep. Sometimes players need an opportunity to prove they are top 6 material. Coleman will certainly get that chance with the Flames. Not convinced he is...but time will tell. |

There's lots of combinations they could do with him..
Mangiapane/Tkachuk - Lindholm - Coleman - recreates his Tampa line's intensity
Put him with Backlund - great defensive line
Gaudreau/Monahan/Coleman - very interesting
Looks promising, if he's a bust it'll be another domino for a rebuild.

it's not unreasonable to think cant play on the second line. Especially in Calgary. |

Durnell Nurse to sign an 8 yr 74 + mil contract. The 9.2 mill/year is insane. He is not good defensively..His overall value would be fair at $4.5 mill and that is high too. The market is getting out of whack with big contracts to S Jones, Pelech, Nurse
Am I wrong. Is Nurse worth anywhere near that? This is K Holland handing out the big dollars. He is a veteran GM, whom built the Detroit Red Wings into a strong team for a ten year run
Please enlighten if I am wrong to say Nurse is now vastly overpaid. Should Bouchard and Broberg, even Samorukov and Lagesson develop, it will be hard to pay another young dman. Barrie would have to go.
Bouchard.is ready to graduate and get 14 TOI as a third pair. Keith for a couple years then hope prospects can make the grade as average bottom pair dmen: that must be the game plan. Nurse's salary dictates the allocation of only so much more dollars among dmen, and it is a few mill per year less due to the extravagently paid Nurse. |

I hear you. Once on another board, I said something that wasn’t political at all. But this intellectual took something out of context and tried use it as a springboard to launch a political discussion. I exited. Just don’t play.

I agree that 9.2M is excessive. It depends how you think he compares with Barrie.
Barrie got 4.5M/ 3 yrs. My opinion is that Nurse is better but not at more than double the salary. It’s even worse than that when you compare the short term of the Barrie deal with the long term Nurse deal.

It's pretty much in line with all the other ridiculous contracts that have been given to defencemen recently. Look at what Jones, Werenski, and Hamilton got, factor in living in Edmonton, and it seems about right. |

People discredit your hockey opinion because you’re an idiot. Calgary is also far more conservative than any other Canadian hockey city.

Nah you just generally bring a pretty tilted perspective. I don’t like it at all and I don’t like you. I vote conservative if their shít is together during their campaign and their platform isn’t dogshít. |

I cannot speak for everyone else, but I come here to get away from the political poop. No one cares if you make the odd political joke but if your goal is to demonize someone because of how they vote this is not the place. There are a plethora of online sites for political takes, best look for fights elsewhere.
Your user name does you no favors for having friendly conversations as well.
