So you think its reasonable that he is going to waive his NMC TWICE?
I think its more reasonable that Drury really has NO interest in Eichel and is just allowing all of these "sources" to seemingly keep us in it. I stated earlier, I really don't think Eichel is coming to Rangers. The circus no longer comes to MSG and Drury is running the organization the way that he sees fit.
Playing along with the Eichel rumors allows him to QUIETLY make another deal elsewhere. Lets see what he can do... - TommyGTrain
Pretty sure it doesn't work that way. If you waive the clause, it is removed from the contract. It doesn't get put back in place by the new team. |

My guess is that this is overblown by media/fans.
These guys have played the game for a long time by the time they get to this point. How many times have they built a relationship with a teammate only to have them or even themselves get moved? It sucks, it feels poopty to lose a good friend. And then they get back to the business of winning hockey games. I've never heard of someone being so distraught by it that they quit the organization. - Tonybere
I agree. They are all trying to will something to happen so they have something to talk and report on. Players are unfortunately getting caught in the middle when a lot of this is probably false or at the minimum overblown. |

No where in the tweet does it say Zib would go to Buffalo. He just says he would be in the trade. If Zib is involved its def at least a 3 team tradelol - TPC

Yea, at the end of the day, Eichel at age 24 at 10 mil per year is better than signing Zib to that type of money at age 29…. - rangerdanger94
IMO, this is ignoring 2 things. 1) Mika is a better all around player than Eichel, I don't care about the age difference. 2) Has anyone that isn't a keyboard warrior stated Mika is due $10M? I see him more in the $8-8.5M range. At the difference in price and difference in their games, I take Mika all day. |

I don't know man, seems pretty risky to throw names out like this. Pretty much ruining your reputation if you are wrong. He isn't some twitter guy he has been the beat writer for the team for years. He will have to talk to Zib after games next year lol |

Larry Brooks is a (frank)ing idiot that pisses people off and players still have to talk to him. |

Who needs a good reputation anymore???
These idiots throw out a random thought and the unwashed masses gobble it up, regardless of validity. |

Unfortunately that is journalism these days. Integrity is severely lacking with many of them. It's all about throwing poop at a wall and seeing what sticks. The pursuit of fame and money is more important than the truth. |

All I am saying is what if he's right, just seems random to throw Zib's name into this. |

I think the NMC stays for the duration of the contract. That was discussed on the NHL channel about Price. They were saying he would waive it to go to Seattle but not to be flipped again to another team. |

Hmm, you may well be right. I didn't research it, but thought I remembered a case where the opposite was stated. |

Has it ever been done before? I can't remember one time a player with a no move clause was traded more than once haha |

I highly doubt if these guys played together that they would produce as much as a second line. - Brukie
Not a top 2nd line, but “close to an average second line” meaning bottom 1/3 would be doable. The average points for a 2nd line player is around 40. With Kreider on that line I would bet on a 35-40 point average between the 3 of them all day. |

CK20S production comes on the PP. He plays with Zibby and barely produces. Goodrow and Blais are 3rd and 4th line players who havent produced more than 25 points in a season. If they play together it is doubtful that they will increase their production. I'd bet it's about 25-30 For Goodrow, 20-25 for Blais and 30 for CK20. That's not including CK20S PP points.

Mika is not better than Eichel. Offensively and defensively. Also Mika has 6 concussions so probably just as injury prone as Jack these days. |

If CKs PP points are removed, you’re prob right. I do think Goodrow could have a career year if he starts as 3C, not sure he’s ever had that opportunity. Think he and Blais could be 15-15 guys this year. Kreider maybe a bit more. Regardless, they would be a top tier 3rd line and bring a lot more than points. Want Kreider playing MEAN this season. |
