Eric Francis and legions of Flames fans have turned " I love the city of Calgary. I love playing here. I don’t think I’ve ever once said I haven’t wanted to be here, the guys in the locker room are great in there. I’ve always enjoyed my time here." into 'mutual interest' in moving on. nice work.

Yo, can we have a new Oilers blogger (or another one)? We're lucky if we get an Oilers blog once every 4 days at this point.
- Sam_Squanch

Ken Holland sucks and he will waste the prime of 97 and 29. What else needs to be said?

Quality over quantity, sir.

What’s more, teams are lucky if they get a new blog every four weeks.

While I'm sure everyone agrees that Francis is a major detriment to the team, you can pretty much ignore everything someone says publically when they're looking for a new contract. It's all posturing and making the team look like the bad guy. If he really loved Calgary and wanted to resign, he'd have resigned by now. Eight million for six years is probably a fair number for both sides.

If he's saying he loves Calgary and wants to stay, but won't settle for anything under ten million for eight years, how genuine do you think he is? He has media and PR training. What do you expect him to say about Calgary? Look at how every player who asks for a trade is treated.

There's also almost no chance they're trading Gaudreau. It's pretty much impossible to get better for this year by trading him. You don't give the contracts you gave to Tanev, Markstrom, and Coleman and then make a trade for the future. Barzal and a top 4d sounds pretty good though.

Did you seriously just say Johnny Hockey would warrant Barzal and a top 4 D?
Sorry, Son, Johnny Hockey’s best days are behind him, is a 2nd line player on a good team and a useless playoff performer.
Is he a horrible pick up for the Isles? No. He would be a good replacement, even an upgrade over Eberle, but not much more than that. His stock has been free falling for 2 seasons now at least.

Is it possible that Gaudreau gets traded to Boston with Taylor Hall coming back to his birthplace? Cap hits are almost equal.
- Kooleus

Why would Boston downgrade like that?

How many times a week do you want to hear how bad the team you root for sucks?

As often as possible, preferably.

This would allow Hall to come home and Gaudreau to be closer to home. Maybe the Flames can throw in Trevor Lewis. As Ek said, you could be getting a fully functioning Gaudreau instead of the malfunctioning one.

Cancel the arbitration hearing for Vince Dunn. He just signed. The arbitrator just booked 18 holes.

You’re a brand new poster and I’ve never even seen you post in there before.

Sean blogs daily during the season. What the hell do you want to discuss? How poopty the management is??

I know you’re just bustin eks chops but Taylor has a full NMC. If he wanted to be in Calgary (as Ek always said) he would be there already.

Yeah, he's fallen off the cliff.

Only 494 points in 520 games. Such as waste. I don't think he fits a Isles team because they are a defense first team.

if Gaudreau is in a deal for MTL, Drouin is in that deal, no way CGY will be interesting.. and if Bergevin move in a trade, it'S for a Centermen..not a little winger !

But whoever acquires Gaudreau is going to get a fully functioning version. I could even see him winning the scoring title with the right linemates.

That doesn’t answer my question. Why would Boston want to send Hall home? Why should they give a (frank)? As for a functioning Gaudreau that’s a huge maybe at best. Hall is infinitely superior to Gudreau and that’s no hyperbole.
