Horvat is not a JB pick. Previous GM. - bloatedmosquito
okay so he's 2 for 4 on top 10 picks. He's not a failure on top 10 pick, but I'm not sure he's hitting home runs either. |

EK has Vancouver finishing first in the division. You know what that means…
That’s right… lottery pick! |

yeah well, there are quite a few elite level prospects in this year's draft. A lottery pick ain't that bad.

He ain’t. So far, JBs overall grade as a GM is a fail. As you said, a few great picks in the first round and that’s about it. Every other aspect of being a good GM Dim Jim has missed on. |

oh I was just talking drafting. His drafting is maybe a B- or C+. His FA signings are an F. His trades, are an F. His management hirings, like coaches, etc, are an F.
Mike Gillis wasn't really all that great either. |

Yes he has like his D. Given a choice. He's not from the off-wing school that you like.
Versatility has to do with skill set options on combo lines. - NuckUp
Would you stop spewing your nonsense. Green has played many wingers o their opposite side, including the great Loui Erickson and Nils Hoglander. |

Or talk to anyone you want, just keep political conversations to Forums. There have been numerous warnings, numerous, there were 4 individuals that were all handed a 1 day ban.
I don’t give a poop if anyone likes the vaccine or not, I don’t give poop if you want to embrace society as it is today or not. This isn’t the venue for praising Trump or Biden.
So to finish off, if some individuals views these actions as censorship to bad. Stop being a chicken poop coward and take your political views to the forums that allow that. - Makita

I think Sutter at that price is solid. He PKs , shuts down and he did have 9 goals last year so there is some production. - VANTEL

He's had a few good draft picks (Boeser, PEttersson, Hughes, and Horvat is not bad), although 3 of those were top 10 picks, so it's not like it's a huge stretch that you'd get good players out of them. But most of his other transactions have been abysmal failures, including a couple of very high draft picks that he completely blew (Virtanen and Juolevi). That's a 60% hit rate on top 10 picks. Good, not spectacular.
Signings and trades, ouch. The list of his signings and trade acquisitions is among the worst in the NHL. Eriksson, Myers, Schmidt, OEL, Baertschi, Gudbranson, the list goes on. - prock

You need to start up again Hughes playing wing for Petey and Brock.
I know everyone hates it but that would be a pretty damn good line.

The Ducks haven't drafted and developed a star (who went on to play their prime years with the Ducks) since Getzlaf/Perry in 2003. That long dry spell should end soon. At least one of Zegras, Drysdale, Perreault, Zellweger or Pastujov is going to hit.

I’d like to see teams try it with offensive dmen who can’t make it out of the AHL. Jordan Subban, Brogan Rafferty, Ryan Murphy, etc. Obviously easier said than done since there’s a lot to learn positioning wise but it would be a fun AHL experiment. |

I don't want to have some of the commenters crying. They still think he is an awesome top 10 pick.
The kid is an absolute brutal defenseman and should be a winger, yet some of the masses think he should get Makar money. Lol(idiots)
I still would rather have Dobson. |

Ducks draft pretty decently compared to most teams, no? |

No harm in trying. Last year left a real bad memory of Quinn on the back end.

I hope they don't make a long term decision and give him money on potential . It can be potentially good but it can also be potentially bad. I would like to see another two years at least to get an idea what he is.

Why would he list Perreault and Pastujov but not Mason McTavish?!?!?!?
Ducks are going to get 2 or 3 first line/pairing players out of that group, at least. They're stacked.

The WHL
Forward Kai Uchacz has been traded from the Seattle Thunderbirds to the Red Deer Rebels, and has been granted permission by the WHL to play during the 2021-22 season.
Rhys Jessop
@Thats_Offside
Kai Uchacz was banned from participating in the WHL for his entire draft season after being removed from SEA due to racist abuse of a teammate.
He has been traded, and granted permission to resume his WHL career on the condition he continues his mandated inclusion training.

I do not like Hughes as a player nor do I like his interviews. I hope they trade him. |
