I know, why can’t people just go to forums, what is the difference, except one thread it is allowed, the other it is not. So if they go there they can discuss their points of view to their heart’s content. |

Not sure. I never go to the political thread. Visited it a couple of times, that was enough to see what was going on there didn't suit my style. |

There’s one there called something like “what do you think of China?”, another about terrorism and one about how great our prospect pool is in 2011-2012. Nick Jensen is going to be a beast!
I agree, not going anywhere near that. |

Good
I think they did improve this year though but it will bite them in the ass later on.
If I was GM I would say let the next GM deal with it . Like what Gillis did. |

On a more humorous note, I discovered all the old, often abandoned threads in the “boards” section. Man, there is some great stuff in there!
I really appreciated your prediction on the North Division standings - 1970vintage

Exactly, the GMs are just doing what their bats hit crazy owners want, it's the next GMs job to fix the problems. |

and by that, you mean he is doing what a batpoop crazy owner wants, right? Not fixing the problems?
Because OEL..... oof. He's been terrible in recent years. |

Players tend to really turn their game around once they join the Canucks. |

yes, I can tell by the way Tyler Myers and Travis Hamonic have soared to new heights since they arrived.
Admittedly, 5 years ago, the defense the Canucks have assembled was really good. Now that they've all tunred 30 though, I imagine they're very nicely seasoned and ready to rip up the league. |

I'm sure you guys have heard this one, but this cracked me up.....
2020 offseason after the draft -
trade a 3rd round pick for Nate Schmidt
sign brayden holtby
re-sign Jake Virtanen
2021 offseason after the draft -
Trade Nate Schmidt for a 3rd
Buyout Brayden holtby
Buyout Jake Virtanen.
you can't write that stuff. Benning making some serious progress. |

He's had a few good draft picks (Boeser, PEttersson, Hughes, and Horvat is not bad), although 3 of those were top 10 picks, so it's not like it's a huge stretch that you'd get good players out of them. But most of his other transactions have been abysmal failures, including a couple of very high draft picks that he completely blew (Virtanen and Juolevi). That's a 60% hit rate on top 10 picks. Good, not spectacular.
Signings and trades, ouch. The list of his signings and trade acquisitions is among the worst in the NHL. Eriksson, Myers, Schmidt, OEL, Baertschi, Gudbranson, the list goes on. |

Hogs himself said it when asked to fill top 6 RW. Yes he can play RW but he's a LHS and Garland a RHS so you know what Green's going to choose. - NuckUp
Whether this is what happens or not,it doesn't change the fact that you were spewing by about Nils playing leftwing, his whole life.
You seriously need to stop accusing others of bs, then post nothing but dribble, oh wait, I meant drivel. |

Horvat is not a JB pick. Previous GM. |
