We are heartbroken to have lost a legend in Tony Esposito, who passed away today after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. - VANTEL
Yes. I think there was another one also where the guy was looking over the top of the counter and the nose would sit on the counter and you could only see the top of the head.

Canucks found a way without breaking the rules... the rules changed after. They still got spanked for it. I hear people say "the league warned teams that there would be punishment for circumnavigating the cap when the new CBA is put in place"... yet that only applied to a couple of teams for some reason. Teams continued doing it to this day and have won cups because of it. - boonerbuck
I wonder what Tim Peel would have to say about it...after all there is no league corruption.

Ya saw quite a few games live there in the 80's. Dad was good friends with one of the equipment managers he threw us free seats all the time. Pretty special time to watch Hockey with Wayne doing his thing. Had an autographed Paul Coffey Sher Wood 5030 brand new and I broke it playing road Hockey!!

RIP Had the privilege of seeing him play when I was a young kidlet. One of the forefathers of the butterfly.

Sad day, I met him in the early seventies, D'Arcy rota brought him to PG and hosted an all star dinner, Jim young was there, Andre Boudrias, the mcelenny brothers there were more but I remember those and got pictures.

Here's what I found very insulting from Campbell over the Peel scandal. It's in bold.
“Nothing is more important than ensuring the integrity of our game,” Campbell said in the statement. “Tim Peel’s conduct is in direct contradiction to the adherence to that cornerstone principle that we demand of our officials and that our fans, players, coaches and all those associated with our game expect and deserve. There is no justification for his comments, no matter the context or his intention, and the National Hockey League will take any and all steps necessary to protect the integrity our game.”
Campbell's defense over his very own scandal about integrity and what he was caught saying was "it was taken out of context." Peel gets fired by Campbell regardless of context...You see, the problem is at the very top of the league. They are corrupt as (frank).
The fact Peel tells his collogues he was looking to fabricate a call against the Preds like it was just a normal every day comment/action speaks volumes as well. Like there was absolutely nothing out of the ordinary.

I guess it's irony , but I had a Tony Esposito blue koho that I wrecked in road hockey too, signed and all.
