He’s had bad luck & hardly enough opportunity to develop like most prospects. D take longer & 750k is a cheap & no risk. If he doesn’t pan out move on. Many other LHD in the system to develop. - Nighthawk
Or, he’s just not as good as they thought. Which is most likely the case. Whatever, it’s not the first time and it won’t be the last an NHL team makes a bad early pick. |

Ha - I don’t need no stinking guns. Funny story though, my wife and I went into the Social Security office, a government facility, the guard at the front checked my wife’s purse and she laughed. She said we’re Canadian, you won’t find any guns in there, he said....”guns outlawed in Canada? you might wanna consider getting one now”.

Take of the day.
Except we need more LHD and RHD in the system. |

19m in cap to sign EP Hughes & Dlcky.
Once Ferland goes on LTIR & 3 F’s demoted. Wouldn’t spend it all leaving some for paying bonuses. |

Let’s not get into this. It’s like trying to explain how the expansion rules work… |

Same here. All I know is that basically you need to be as close up against against the cap(excluding bonuses) to get full benefit from it. |

To accumulate LTIR relief for cap space come the TDL or in season call ups. |

It's nice to see people be confident in their opinions but when it gets to the point of hyperbole, that's just as bad as fence sitters. Like people who think Benning is actually an idiot, people who think Hughes isn't a dman, that's a bit extreme and over the top. You can just say that you think Benning isn't a good GM and is better suited for a lesser role in an organization or say that Hughes needs to be paired with a solid defensive dman and not play against top lines in order to be effective. Those are level-headed takes compared to "Benning's an idiot!" and "Hughes is a winger!"
Just my two cents - Nucker101
He wasn’t a winger with Tanev. |

You know, all the time we’ve spent down here I’ve never seen anyone with an open carry weapon, assuming open carry is legal?
We went to Phill’s Grill for dinner the other night, pub at Grayhawk golf club, there’s a big sign out front on the glass...”No Guns Allowed”. So people must obviously have them. - LeftCoaster
My girlfriend is from rural PA where open carry is a thing.. I've been to her family's weddings and children parties in their homes where they're open carrying. (frank)ing stupid. |

I expect Hughes to rebound back to rookie form, Shaw will help him, OEL-Poolman duo brought in to play tough matchups. Schenn looked good with him in the past, Hamonic and Hughes should also continue to develop more chemistry. - Nucker101
