Actually I expected them to protect NAK over JVR…..but then again I’m quite a bit smarter then you.
Edit:Just in case it’s lost….on some…just trying to add some levity. - landros 2
Well I don’t believe you and you change your story all the time. At no point did anyone name Aube-Kubel as being a player protected during the small window Patrick and Myers were traded and the actual expansion draft. Bill as well as others speculated JvR. |

Again…..was making a joke… to be honest I never gave it a lot of thought. Please take your belligerent act on to the next poster….your inability to comprehend simple hockey talk and always make it personal does get old….I could care less what your thoughts were on the subject as I pay little attention to your over all thought process. |

Interesting position for the Flyers….but again we are only in August. It’s not like Fletcher didn’t have an idea of the #s he would eventually have to pay Sanheim and Hart. As Bill pointed out the Flyers have a bunch of options. I’m pretty sure Fletcher has a plan….we just aren’t privy to it. - landros 2
Having the benefit of hindsight now, what was Fletcher's plan in Minnesota? |

And here we are again... back to having to do dumb poop to stay cap compliant.
Fun. - Tomahawk
The perils and pitfalls of being a Stanley Cup contender is being cap strapped. |

Foerester is going to the AHL to start. Frost might also. - MJL
I might want to watch the Phantoms this year more than the Flyers, with these two plus York and Zamula. |

Have to be realistic. I'd be shocked if Giroux is not re-signed. - MJL
Then they are giving up Couturier? I just don't see how the Flyers keep both unless they can sign them to team friendly deals. Heck, the Bruins do this all the time! Somehow they get Marchand, Bergeron and the rest to take less. Why can't the Flyers do this? |

Thompson is very capable of taking defensive zone shifts and playing on the PK as a 4th line center. - MJL
He's a decent faceoff man also, which is key to puck possession, especially on the PK. |

well how do you want to grade some of the others like frost and JOB.... oh you just chalked them up as good picks? Nice job ding dong - bradster
Hey, watch it with JOB, he is going to be a player! With all my posts about JOB I have a lot on the line now so he'd better pan out for the Flyers.
But on a serious note, you all have to understand that JOB was always going to be a project, a player that would be ready to play in 3-4 years, given the high school he was drafted out of. He is on track IMO to be a nice player for the Flyers next season, 2022-2023. Let's hope he stay healthy this year and develops. |

Is this a new revelation for you? You stated that players sucked and should be moved based on last season in the past. - MJL
I am just stating what Fletcher stated in his presser, and I believe him because I posted several times that something was very off with this team chemistry wise. What I am saying is once everything went off the rails, its really difficult to really judge players from that point on because it was clear they had no will, confidence or fight left in them. However, I had seen enough of Jake, Myers and Patrick before then to know they were terrible and needed to be upgraded, so I am supportive still that they were. |

- Tomahawk
He'd better do something because from what I am reading, Pittsburgh fans are not happy that Hextall did not improve their team this off season. They better get used to it! |

I don't think so. It was always widely accepted that CF would expose Ghost, JVR and Jake in hopes that Seattle took one of them. When Seattle didn't, that's when plan B went into action and Ghost and Jake were traded. |

Boston didn't get those players to take less. Bergeron signed his current deal 8 years ago. Marchand signed his deal almost 5 years ago and it was before he really took off scoring. Pasternak 4 years ago. The Flyers aren't giving up Couturier.

Yet you did judge players and gave a definitive read on those players. You give players you like a pass and players you don't like don't get a pass. If you really do believe Fletcher than if you're objective, you apply that to all players across the board. You weren't objective.

I’m far from thrilled but realistically what could he have done? The cap and lack of assets are real things. It’s not simply “inactivity” |

I feel like the Flyers could win the cup next season and people on here would still complain we gave up too much for Ristolianen or signed Nate Thompson as a 4th line center. - J35Bacher
I’m just glad I don’t have to listen to people defend ghost anymore. I’ll take the Risto complaints.
