and with Rubtsov, there isnt a player within 12 picks that has done a thing.....hindsight shows that draft was devoid of nhl talent - THE BLACK HAND
Yes, agreed. There were a few players taken later in the draft such as DeBrincat, Fox and Girard but other than that, not much there. Worth noting that the Flyers got Hart and Allison in that draft.

Realistically, I think both have to accept team friendly deals in order to stay with the Flyers. This means Giroux takes a 3 x $4M deal and Couturier takes a 7 x $7.5M deal. If they accept deals like this and the Flyers trade off JVR, they will be fine moving forward. - jd250
They'd better (frank)ing win after all these moves, otherwise Coots and G will think long and hard about just moving on.

What is it with players coming to Philadelphia, regardless of sport, always having to lick the boot of the Philadelphia sports fan by saying something about blue collar, passion, blah blah blah.
It’s cliche and cringe. - StepfordSam
I don't mind that because there is truth in it. I'd like them to add some more truth by saying "...but some of them are real Richards." lol

Time tells all, but I maintain to keep that crew after last season was a mistake. Systemically, the overuse of dumping the puck and having the dmen looking for constant hail mary’s with the forwards already leaving the zone left this team smothered last season.
- FlyerFan3260
In my opinion, one of the biggest mistakes fans make is thinking that on ice results and how the team plays are always the result of how the coaching staff is telling them to play rather than player not executing properly. The same thing happened with Hakstol when he was here and how many claimed that his offensive strategy was based on point shots.

Was thinking about the other day, G might want to stay because he knows the area and has kids now but Coots, might just say peace, it didn’t work out here
Does Coots have kids here lol |

He was tracking well until the shoulder injury(ies) and the unknown of how much the doping enhanced his performance

G's kids aren't school aged yet -- kinda the perfect time for a move.

so Saint Ronnie gets a pass because others didnt pan out? Then he should have traded up or out of the round for other assets. Also took Labarge. My bad gets a pass there as well. |

He'll rebuild for 8 years, maybe get some decent 10-20 overall draft picks. We'll see if he learned i guess |

I love how Philadelphia is still considered a 'blue collar town', 1975 called. All the boxes and suites @WFC are the antithesis of blue collar. Philly is all corporate law, big hospital/medical/phamra dollars, tech firms, and the unis/colleges. |

The Sabres have collectively stunk for a hot one. Look at former 40 goal scorer Skinner. He had 7 goals last year in 53 games. |
