I agree the team should be significantly harder to play against, better defensively and with more scoring potential. It still bothers me that the rebuild was abandoned for a quick fix but as you say, that’s water under the bridge. Hopefully Bowman, or whomever, can find a way to continue adding pieces to build a contender.

I don't think the rebuild was totally abandoned. We gave up a 2022 1st round pick I dearly would like to have kept. The rest of this year and possibly next year we will have cap limitations. But after that there will be a ton of cap room and a lot of young prospects entering their prime. Also we may be able to move some players (Strome, Connolly, deHaan, Johnson, Nylander, MAF) at the deadline for additional assets. All along I think we felt that all personnel decisions should be based on their effect on the summer of 2023 and the 2023/24 season (and beyond).

At the moment, he is. Gaudette has much to prove with the Hawks. Let's not forget he was traded for Highmore.

All that being said, I hope Gaudette turns into one of the those sneaky good deal like the Sharp(hi Ogi) and Versteeg deals.

Imo elbows i think he has break out year 15 to 20 goals but my question is who is best fit of players for him to play with? Also if things to go right he could be like hagel can play up in the lineup if need be but getting little ahead of myself but in the brief showing there something there its up to him to prove it.
