I saw something on Twitter a week ago from one of the Flames Reddit boards that said that Calgary is pushing hard for Eichel and Tkachuk would be a part of the deal going to a 3rd team for additional futures to go to Buffalo.

How valid that is though is anyone’s guess.

Nothing from NRD or any of the insiders in quite a while.

Could be a buffer for Cozens Mitts to grow, and then trade him for a asset at the TDL IN 2 yrs.

Giving the C to Dahlin at this point in my opinion would be a mistake. He hasn’t done much to say it’s his team and I don’t believe he has the respect a captain requires. They are better off just to fly with no letters for the time being. If they are required to have some letters let the experienced players where them.

And there were a few rumblings that the Sabres had 3 contracts on the table for Sam.

Who knows what to believe. But he’s just a good solid player that now needs to be replaced.
