Looks like No Allen for Friday nights preseason game.

i think he's leaning towards one more year of school...looks like they're building a championship-level team in ann arbor, which would make for a great send off...no need to rush the kid by putting him in a situation he may not be ready for

Think he meant after the Mich upcoming season. He can sign once they're done, get some NHL/AHL experience and burn a year of the ELC, ala Mitts. Hope that doesn't happen, just let him enjoy the rest of his time at school and see the gains of being the guy on that blue line, and come ready to make waves in 22/23.

Pretty likely that's what happens. I have no problem with that unless Samuelsson (or Bryson for that matter) is clearly playing better than Hägg in the preseason.

I hope he takes that step, brings more confidence with him. Would like to see him bring more of the Physical play that I have seen from him.

it's like, this year is (another) write off..hagg will serve his purpose on the bottom pairing and the kids will get valuable minutes at their proper development levels...the only concern really is with the likes of mitts and cozens...being asked to anchor the top two lines at their age, and with limited experience, is not ideal...however, i do think mitts has been humbled enough, and has enough talent, to allow him to handle that role and learn from it...i also think cozens has a rock-solid demeanor that will allow him to carry those minutes without adverse affects to his development

I am actually looking forward to seeing how Mitts and Cozens handle it, especially Cozens just cause of his upbringing in hockey and what he had to do to get here.

The bold is a non-issue. If he indicates he'd prefer to get some end of regular season NHL experience, you certainly have a discussion, but if he wants that, you say yes and move on without worrying about burning a year of his ELC. No reason to mess around with a number 1 pick.

O I agree. Just selfishly, pushing the ELC out another year benefits the Sabres. It's not like he's eventually not gonna get paid.

his floor is higher then any qb not named mahomes and his ceiling is as high as any qb, see last year



I would rather take wilson or dak if not getting allen for the early qb


last thing I would want is Tannehill, Hurts, Burrow or Ryan as my qb
