Also the 2.4 mil for this year's buyouts. - Load Management
So 2.4 in buy out and 2.5 in POTENTIAL bonuses in which half can be paid over two years. So a cap hit lets say of 4 mil and Luongos recap comes off at 3 mil. |

Yes. Something like that. The point is just because Luongo's recapture is off the books doesn't mean there's a net gain in cap space. It's actually the opposite. |

Just put it on the credit card. You can go to the payday loan shop for the money to make the minimum payment. |

One of the things with this flat cap is the number of teams that can be potential buyers. Instead of 32 teams being able to take a run at RFA UFA and trade partners for proper trades the number drops to maybe 20 or less I didn't check every team.
Even a team like NJ taking on Hamilton takes away a lot of their cap strength. They have 6 significant RFAs to sign next year so they wont be a big time player.
Arizona is sitting in the driver seat again next year for taking on more short term bad contracts and assets. |

It pretty well cancels it off the books leaving us no further ahead. I believe the cap space listed for next year would include Ferland as part of the cap hit as it does right now.
Lets see who has good years and doesn't and who wants to still be here
It will work itself out. |

I disagree that the D looks set. I don't think Rathbone or OJ are locks and I don't think paying Myers 6 mil to do what Hamonic does at 3 mil. I sure as hell also don't want to pay Hughes a nickel more than 6 mil a year.
If I could get Reilly next year at 6 mil a year I would not hesitate to use an asset to move Myers to Arizona .
Truthfully it is the same thing every year Canucks have no cap space yada yada yada. Wake me up when they actually do have cap problems.
If Boeser scores 15 goals this year are you qualifying him at 7.5 mil? Are you bringing back JTM next year if you know he wont sign here again? Let the year play out .See where you stand then. - VANTEL
D looks set contracts wise unless a big contract is moved out or Hughes traded. It would be great if he’s signed at 6m with term but I don’t see it. Maybe 3/6m.
Reilly won’t sign for 6m.
Cap space is ok it’s not a cap problem. Just no flexibility as the roster currently stands.
Boeser won’t be allowed to walk a QO & why an extension is best. Miller has 2yrs left & another story once next season finishes. Too far ahead to predict what will happen. Lots is riding on 2021/22. |

Brilliant. - VANTEL

2. PA has presented IIHF with cost to of insurance but has been told international federations will not pay. So at this point, PA “strongly advises” players not to participate in Olympic qualifying events. Talks are ongoing. - VANTEL
Perfect. Screw the IIHF if they don’t want to pick up the liability. The NHL owes them squat & nothing has changed the IIHF’s stance. |

Some of these potential rookie bonuses have a pretty good chance of not happening . Like I said Rathbone has to make the team first.
The only ones that would qualify for RBs are Hogs Pods and Rathbone and I doubt all three will be top five in scoring or top 5 +/- . Again any types of bonuses can be paid out over two years.

5.5 + 3 = 8.5
Where is the pay cut?
I'm saying he won't get more than 8.5 so the cap is a wash. - Retinalz
Ok misunderstood you.
As of now there isn’t 3m to give. Other cap juggling would be needed. |

I think JTM is traded next off season if Podk has a good rookie campaign. - Retinalz
If that were to happen then we have the depth to do so. It’s turning the corner on this rebuild. The return would go under the microscope no doubt. |

At deadline he should get a 1st+ at least. As long as his numbers don't fall off.

It’s 38 in the shade on my deck. Not even a cold beer is enough to keep me out here.
Stay hydrated folks, especially you elderly type, this heat can be dangerous for your health. |

It’s too stifling & I don’t do well in heat this hot. Never have in heat in the 30’s+. Constant hydrating but that doesn’t help much other than keeps me from feeling lousy or getting heat stroke. Figuring time to go onto graveyard hours if I wanna accomplish anything. |

I need to dig out some rotten wood from our garden today or tomorrow. Just got home from work so really don’t feel like it now, but I know it’s going to be hotter tomorrow.
I’m kind of the Jim Benning of gardening - “that’s tomorrow’s problem”… |

We are not arguing we are discussing
We need to see final numbers of the last 3 RFAs . Could be a difference of 3 mil between estimated and actual.
I don't think Myers will be part of the team next season . I think he will be traded and it will cost asset/s.
If you are moving Miller then TDL or next offseason is the time. |

Does White Claw count as rehydration? Worked my bag off all week. Now have a 3 day weekend. Started with a Czechvar while watering the gardens. Relaxing with a White Claw now. |
