I'm starting to think Eichel just says the hell with it and has the neck surgery the team wants him to. Should be ready to go just in time for the Olympics. You heard it here first. |

Bill Belichick spoke to reporters at Hall of Fame Induction. Said he hopes there are some Patriots going in next year. Evidently he was referring to Mac Jones. - Hatboro_Swords
Hernadez is probably eligible?
Rodney Harrison?
So.many eligible guys like corey dillon had a couple years there to wrap up their careers. |

Anyone get the idea eichel comes back for the Olympics?
Eichel gets the team reccomeneded back surgery and his return date could be close to the feb 4-20th dates.
Probably gets permission from the Sabres to display his talents without putting on a Sabres uniform.
Heads to USA camp ready to show the world.
A few months from now 3ER will be repeating this theory with his own name attached. π - Boss34
I am not sure they would risk letting him play in the Olympics but to keep him out of the locker room this could be the way.
It will just be super hard to trade him mid season though

LOL, I'm not a plagiarist. That's the blogger. I cite takes that aren't mine. If you thought of building the stadium to accommodate outdoor Sabres games months ago, then I think it was a great idea! |

Wasn't Armia part of the trade that brought back Evander Kane, which was before they drafted Eichel and traded for O'Reilly? - kingcong39
Your right! My memory is no good anymore.
We still had eichel, Kane, RoR, reinhart on the front end and risto, bogo, mcabe on our back end. |

If they need 1.4 billion for an open air stadium. The taxpayers are getting scammed. No way it will cost that much.
Itβs gotta be a retractable roof stadium - Sabretooth9
vikings new stadium cost south of $1.1B - so I would think that $1.4B is not out of the realm for a domed stadium. I know they were talking about all the seats being covered but not the field for the new Bills stadium. I also would say that the Vikings came up with 50% of the cost of that stadium.

I know everyone is posting that the pegulas wouldn't pay part of Eichel's salary for the remainder of his contract.
I still think that's a really possible scenario. Especially mid season trading.
2 maybe up to 3.5 million, gets a proven (Olympics) healthy mega superstar for 6.5 -7 for 5 playoff runs.
Eichel would basically be a tdl guy for this season and cheap superstar for the next 4 seasons.
Sabres cap is going to be fine , being that tank4 rolls in.
Teams make room, years 3-5 , is like having a 1/2 okposo contract hanging around.
Aside from the spite part, it's good business.
Sabres would get an absolute hall of prospects for eichel.
Think about it: a proven healthy eichel for 7 or 8 million π |

It's like Jets fans going off saying that Allen's season doesn't count because there were no fans.
There is a sliver of validity to it, but if Diggs made Allen then how come Diggs' best season by far came with Allen and not Kirk Cousins?
Or that Allen is top 3 in first 3 year total TDs amongst QBs behind Dan Marino and Andrew Luck?
Allen has gotten better and better each year. But he is going to fall off a cliff because fans are back?
That's funny. |

Friedman on 31TP: "Eichel's mad, but I think the Sabres are mad too and Eichel wants to push them and push them, but the Sabres are like, you can't push us, we have a line in terms of what we're getting and we're determined to get it."

Sure do
They've definitely benefited from each other.
Great players use other players strengths to their advantages.
It just so happens that the QB and WR were able to be in sync pretty much from the get go.
Funny thing is last season it took about halfway through the season before the offense because basically unstoppable.
