Was watching a Chris Faber post on Poldkolzin . Kid seems really serious about hockey . Today he is running a camp for kids rocking a Canucks practice jersey over in Russia.

When's he coming over? Lot's to do to settle in and show he's ready for Petey's LW.

Trade them both then. Neither are worth that kind of money.

In a heartbeat because, in my mind, they will never meet expectations that come with those contract values.

I look at what Fla and Car did last year and they let a few big names go and had lots of cap to be very competitive.

I think Arizona had a much better offseason than Seattle.

That’s a better idea.

If true (and if I was Canuck GM) I would tell their agent that’s the best direction to go because they will never play for the Canucks asking for that kind of money.

Get the agent to find a team willing to pay that price (both in contract value and compensation). Make him work for it because no one gets paid otherwise.

Hi,

New blog time, with notes on the Richardinson deal and where that leaves us with Petey & Quinn.

Americans don’t seem to mind pro athletes making that kind of coin. In Canada, we have a tendency to criticize athletes (or anyone for that matter) who do.

As a fan, at that price my expectation would be nothing less than a cup.

IMO both are good players, not great players yet. Still need some more polish.

That could be the case but close is what the rationale would be. Every team paying top $ for core players have to get the right roster surrounding them on good contracts. As it stands those contracts are pretty good but still leaves the D to prove JB right. Idk like most if that’ll be the case but we have to wait & see where it goes. Currently the F’s are expected to be where we are counting on some major productivity. In goal we should be fine. Overall its the coaches who hotta squeeze out the results
