Amazing write-up, Theo!
I'm getting pumped for Blackhawks hockey again.
I still think Strome gets moved before the season begins to open up a little room up front. - Tyler Cameron
Any thoughts where strome ends up going to and for what? |

Plenty of political discussion recently without Sage and I egging it on! Who woulda thunk it?
P.S. It is clear now that Sage is no leader. |

It’s being guided by outside influences. If you stop and think about it you know who I mean. |

I’m not a Hawks fan, but that’s a pretty quality write up.
Nice job - Hesh_
Thanks, Hesh. I appreciate it especially readership from fans of other teams! |

Thanks, Tyler, and for everyone else with shout outs earlier. Following prospects is something I enjoy doing the most so writing about prospects is fun.
As for Strome, I wouldn't be surprised either if he's gone by training camp. Same with Nylander, too, to be honest. Same with de Haan.
But they could easily stick around a bit longer if Bowman doesn't like what's being offered. Sooner or later, I would imagine all 3 of them are gone to gain assets in return before their contracts expire next summer. |

SOLD. Screw it. A 2022 3rd round from the Sens works. Gimme all the 3rd rounders. |

The Trump side-show has left, the comedic material dried up. CNN was bound to fall, the type of daily fodder Trump provided just cannot be replaced!
Now....back to hockey!

CNN hasn’t been relevant for over a decade. Segwaying to Trump is plain textbook idiocy. |

Mikael Hakkarainen (the throwin in the Fleury trade (to get the number of contracts down)) has given an interview to a Finnish paper:
Says that he was very surprised about the trade and said it was very weird that Vegas didnt even want him. He was said by Rockford that they dont have a space for him, Indy would suffice if he wants to go there. Says that Indy isnt really ideal and he is now in a difficult situation in his career. The Blackhawk organization wasnt good towards me, it would be great to get away from there alltogether he said.
Hope he gets it together and steers away from injuries. |

He's been linked to OTT, which could make some sense as they are looking to add another forward.
Strome + Subban to BUF could make some sense too. I can't see BUF sticking with Aaron Dell and Craig Anderson as their combo.
I still think Strome has value - and he's in a contract year which will be highly motivating for him - but I don't see where he fits on this CHI team either.

Hey Scott! I'm not sure what a return would be. I wouldn't expect too much. The ideal scenario would be a 2nd rounder or a solid prospect yet to turn pro. There's a logjam of players on the Hawks as it is so another roster player would complicate things again. |

Those teams make sense. I wonder if Boston would be interested in getting Subban back, since the Rask situation is still out there.

Unless a decision has been made to launch him already, I see this getting to a boiling point where Strome finally voices displeasure about lack of training camp chances as a centre.
It is clear he wants to stay, a good soldier so far., but that may change when/if he feels the opportunities he is getting connect with the staff's feeling of him is completely soured.
I dunno, but it is difficult for me to try and separate the player from the lousy defensive efforts his team has shown.
This has little to do with the appearance Strome gives as a "perimeter centre," but he has a good hockey IQ, and to me doesn't lack smarts and the real kick is lack of production on crappy Hawk teams and they flat he is a big finesse guy.
I am fine with whatever happens but I would let training cam sort things out.

It sucks for him, but at the end of the day, he seems to be a bit of a tweeter (AHL/NHL). I wonder if he just goes back overseas. |

If Strome wants better/more chances at center, then he needs to show that he is better than the other available options. Wasn't everyone fawning over him during the "return-to-play" practices, and then when the lights came on he was virtually invisible (3 its in 9 games). He's 6'3", 200lbs with really good hockey sense and good hands, who does not produce. That's on him. It's not like they haven't given him ample opportunity with solid line mates. poop or get off the pot. It get that he is still pretty young, but if he ever voices any displeasure, it should be on himself. |

Well, the Hawks traded him to Vegas, and Vegas doesn’t want him, so he should be blaming Vegas as well, not just the Hawks. |

Just wondering, how does the NHL allow a trade to be made when a team does not want a player in the trade? And where is the Union on this? Wouldn't they be backing the player, forcing the team to take him? Sorry, but this seems like a Bettman deal, where he is helping out Vegas.

That is true and he said as much that for a little while he was excited for a new opportunity until he heard that the Knights dont want nothing to do with him. Major deflation there for a young guy.
